Llegó el 20 de noviembre del 2022. Luego de cuatro largos años, la Copa Mundial de la Fifa vuelve a convocar a 32 selecciones para medir fuerzas. ¿Tienes tu favorito? Antes, repasemos tres partidos interesantes que tendremos en ésta primera vuelta de la fase de grupos.

<center><h1> SENEGAL vs. PAISES BAJOS </h1></center>

Llega **SENEGAL** exhibiendo su más reciente éxito: Campeón de África. Hay mucha emoción por esta nueva presentación en el torneo mundial, bajo la tutela de **Cissé**, quien hizo un trabajo más que bueno en el anterior mundial en Rusia. Llama la atención la convocatoria que trae, donde la totalidad de los jugadores militan en las ligas europeas. Ésto habla del nivel que ha adquirido éste país en el plano futbolístico. 

Lamentablemente, **Sadio Mané** es el gran ausente de éste equipo. No pudo reponerse a tiempo, y verá los partidos desde casa. Por su parte, la capitanía está en buenas manos, ya que **Koulibaly** sí está a tono y expentante en repetir una hazaña ahora en Catar. ¿Te acuerdas de **Papa Bouba Diop**? Uno de los mediocampistas más sobresalientes de éste país, no solo nos sirve para practicar nuestra pronunciación de nombre extranjeros, sino que nos recuerda el alto nivel que pueden alcanzar jugadores de éstas latitudes en campeonatos como éstos.

**PAISES BAJOS** llega con mucha expectativas. Para mi, una de las mejores defensas en el torneo. **De Ligt, De Vrij, Van Dijk, Aké y Dumfires** son hombres con calidad comprobada, en equipos grandes de Europa, y algunos pueden jugar de laterales. Todos han jugado en línea de 3 y en línea de 4. Esa versatilidad será de mucho valor para un experimentado entrenador que asume éste rol por tercera vez: **Louis Van Gaal**. Ya lo hemos escuchado afirmando que pueden llegar a la final éste año, y vaya que tiene propiedad para decirlo, en vista de que en el 2014 pudo llevar a la selección a las semifinales, y ganó el septimo partido que ninguno quiere jugar: por el tercer puesto. 

Unos nombres que no veremos éste año son **Cillesen y Krul**, protagonistas de ése cambio de porteros a segundos de terminar el tiempo extra con Costa Rica, y el suplente logró detener los penales necesarios para que la naranja mecánica pasara de ronda. Una convocatoria cargada de jugadores del torneo local, 12 de los 26 seleccionados. Uno de ellos es **Depay** quien probablemente no lo veamos en este primer partido, sino más bien a **Jannsen**. Ésta selección tiene nombres que entusiasman, y son los rivales que tendrán los dos protagonistas del partido inaugural de hoy en el grupo A.

There is a lot of excitement for this new presentation in the world tournament, under the tutelage of **Cissé**, who did a more than good job in the previous World Cup in Russia. It is striking the call-up, where all the players are from European leagues. This speaks of the level that this country has acquired in soccer.

That versatility will be of great value to an experienced coach taking on this role for the third time: **Louis Van Gaal**. We have already heard him say that they can reach the final this year, and he is certainly right to say so, given that in 2014 he was able to take the national team to the semifinals, and won the seventh game that no one wants to play: for third place. 

Some names we will not see this year are **Cillesen and Krul**, protagonists of that change of goalkeepers seconds before the end of extra time with Costa Rica, and the substitute managed to save the necessary penalties for the Clockwork Orange to go through. **MÉXICO** es uno acostumbrado en éste torneo. Es otro que llega con alta presencia de jugadores en el torneo local: 16 de los 26. Podemos reconocer nombres conocidos tanto por su experiencia como también su presencia en equipos europeos: **Guillermo Ochoa, Araujo, Guardado, Hector Herrera, Raúl Jimenez y Lozano.** Quizás algunos deseaban un plantel con más recambio generacional, pero el seleccionador se ha inclinado por la experiencia. **Gerardo "el tata" Martino** asume éste rol, y ya sabemos lo mediático que puede tornarse dicho trabajo. La afición busca resultados pronto y no se suele hablar mucho de proyectos a mediano y largo plazo, como ha habido en otros países.

Quizás los que más extrañará la afición son los populares **Chicharito y Carlos Vela**. Incluso, las supuestas razones del por qué están fuera de la selección son algo polémicas. Por ahora, el claro objetivo que traen para éste año será a ese codiciado quinto partido que se le ha negado en los últimos torneos mundiales. Llegar a los cuartos de final estaría más que bien, teniendo en cuenta los posibles cruces que pudiera tener en el camino, como lo son Dinamarca o la mismísima Francia.

**POLONIA** vuelve a la cita mundial y con nombres que meten miedo: **Zielinski y Lewandowski** son algunos de ellos. Por supuesto, hay otros nombres consagrados en equipos de talla mundial, como **Szczesny, Bednarek y Cash**. ¿Presión al rival? ¡Te lo tengo! Éste último dijo que rueda de prensa (si lo viste) que aunque México es una buena selección, Polonia es mejor selección. Parece que éste hombre lo tiene claro. Ésta selección tiene una alta presencia en el Calcio, con diez de los veintiseis convocados.

Éstos dos ya se vieron en Argentina 1978, donde la victoria fue para los europeos, con 3 goles contra 1 de los americanos. Se vieron en fase de grupos, y ésta vez será igual. Es muy probable que éste sea el partido importante, porque, si se cumplen los pronósticos, Argentina tiene garantizado uno de los dos primeros puestos del grupo, así que éstos dos tendrán que luchar para alcanzar el segundo boleto que los ponga en los octavos de final.

**BRASIL** es una de las eternas favoritas en éstas ocasiones. La plantilla que presentan éste año es realmente impresionante. Es una de las llamadas a la siguiente instancia. **Tite**, a veces acusado de ser conservador, tiene como formar un equipo altamente ofensivo, con nombres que aportarán flexibilidad en el diseño, rapidez y vértigo. Con todo, el entrenador se ha visto reservado en comunicar quiénes estarán de titulares en el primer partido. Tendrá mucho que ver los entrenamientos en ésta semana.

En éste caso, tenemos una docena de nombres que pertenecen a la Premier League. Luego, tenemos un quinteto dentro de La Liga, y un trío provenientes del torneo local. ¿Qué más podemos decir que no se haya dicho ya? Un entrenador conocedor de la ideología brasilera, nombres de alto calibre y un juego colectivo aplastante. Sin duda, deseamos ver cómo inicia su trayectoria el país más ganador de éste torneo.

**SERBIA** exhibe su principal carta en la ofensiva. ¿Quién no conoce a estas alturas a hombres como **Kostic y Vlahovic**? Están en la élite de jugadores del Calcio. Y un **Mitrovic** dentro del top de goleadores en la Premier League. No sólo son peligrosos por la actualidad que tienen, sino que también ya tienen experiencia, en el caso de Mitrovic y Kostic estuvieron en el último mundial en Rusia. Brasil lo sabe, por lo que no se dedicará sólo a atacar, sino a detener las embestidas de éstos serbios. Once de los veinteseis están en el Calcio. Es un equipo que busca volver a pasar la fase de grupo. Brasil será el primer eslabón fuerte, pero en octavos de final le podrían esperar nombres como Uruguay o Portugal. Pero los partidos se juegan un partido a la vez.

Precisamente ambos se encontraron en la fase de grupo en el anterior mundial, así que sólo cambiaron de letra en el grupo y de compañeros en él. La victoria en esa oportunidad fue para Brasil, con goles de **Paulinho y Thiago Silva**. En ese entonces, Serbia contó con nombres históricos, como Kolarov, Ivanovic, y otros más actuales como Matic.

They are not only dangerous because of the current they have, but they also already have experience, in the case of Mitrovic and Kostic were in the last World Cup in Russia. Brazil knows this, so they will not only attack, but also stop the onslaught of these Serbians. Eleven of the twenty-six are in Calcio. It is a team that is looking to get back past the group stage. Brazil will be the first strong link, but names like Uruguay or Portugal could be waiting for them in the round of 16. But the matches are played one game at a time.

**GARETH BALE**  es la principal figura de la selección de Gales. Aunque se cuentan con otros nombres como el de Aaron Ramsey, el hombre más conocido y respetado es el ex Real Madrid. Con 34 años de edad pudiera ser su último mundial, así que estará interesado en empujar a su selección lo más lejos posible. La gran duda es su estado físico y de salud. Propenso a las lesiones, el zurdo asegura estar en máximo nivel para ésta cita mundial. ¿Podrá jugar los noventa minutos de los tres partidos de la fase de grupo? Eso está por verse. Afortunadamente, éste hombre aportará calidad en el juego, ayudando a mantener un buen nivel, a pesar de los nombres que estarán ausentes en las diferentes selecciones.
