> Node.js® is a JavaScript runtime built on Chrome's V8 JavaScript engine.

Node.js is a free, cross-platform, open source server environment to execute JavaScript outside of a browser. Traditionally, JavaScript is used for client side scripting and runs by a JavaScript engine embedded within a browser. With Node.js, JavaScript can be used to write command line programs or server side scripting. By this way, developers only need to learn a single programming language to do both server side and client side programming. 

Node.js is built on Chrome’s V8 JavaScript execution engine which was initially built for Google Chrome. Instead of interpreting JavaScript in real time, V8 compiles JavaScript code to native binary machine code to improve the performance. Node.js has an event driven architecture which makes it suitable for web applications with many I/O operations. That is why Node.js is very fast compared to similar technologies. libuv is used to handle asynchronous events across operating systems.

### Contribution Specifications

I have used Node.js in a few small projects but never got a chance to see a whole picture of this amazing and popular framework. I am very exciting to start translating Node.js and very looking forward to my new learning journey!

**Translation overview**

The whole project consists of 1,048,272 words. victory622 has started working on this project. Since this project is extremely large therefore collaborations are required. I will be concentrating on the translation of v8.x folder which has 353,483 words to translate. 

**This submission**

In this submission, I have been working on “util.md”. The util module is designed to support the needs of Node.js' own internal APIs, but it is useful for application and module developers as well..

Regarding the translation, I have been concentrating on how to make my translation fluent and easy to understand by Chinese readers. Sometimes I have to add some words to make the sentence clear to its readers. A couple of examples are worth mentioning:

1) The source string is: 
Takes an <0>async</0> function (or a function that returns a Promise) and returns a
function following the error-first callback style, i.e. taking
a <0>(err, value) =&gt; ...</0> callback as the last argument.

In here, “Takes an <0>async</0> function” does not say anything about “taking an async function **for what**”, therefore, I have added “作为参数“ to my translation. The final translation becomes:

采用 <0>异步</0> 函数 （或返回 Promise 的函数）作为参数，并返回遵循错误优先回调样式的函数，即采用 <0>(err, value) =&gt; ...</0> 形式的回调函数作为最后一个参数。

2) Similarly, in this string:
If the callback throws, the process will emit an [<0>'uncaughtException'</0>][]
event, and if not handled will exit.

It does not say if **what** not handled, so word by word translation would confuse readers. I have added “该事件” in my translation, e.g.

如果回调函数抛出异常，进程将发出一个 [<0>'uncaughtException'</0>][] 事件，如果该事件没有被处理，则将退出。

I translate Node.js from English to Simplified Chinese.

Regarding the number of words, this is my eleventh contribution to Node.js project and I have translated 1107 words in this submission. 

**Before:**

I have been working on “util.md” and there was no translation in this file. 

**After:**

The number of words being translated becomes 1107.
