The concept of this device is to inform your friends and family in the case of an accident. So they can reach to you. It is an automated device which is designed to protect you and others you care. 

CarDroid will collect data about the driver's behavior and stores it to the cloud account.

It looks like a black box on an airplane, but it may differ in many ways, it may be necessary to add features such as not only collecting data and helping if there is an accident but can also be used for tracking cars in the event of car theft. Awesome.
