For me, Dojo is really a JavaScript framework essential for the realization of Web 2.0 applications. The great strength of Dojo lies, in my opinion, in the ease of creating custom and reusable Widgets. The realization of a Web 2.0 application is to create a set of Dojo Widgets aggregating around an event engine also made in Dojo.
