>We present Vermeer, a novel interactive 360° viewable 3D display. Like prior systems in this area, Vermeer provides viewpoint-corrected, stereoscopic 3D graphics to simultaneous users, 360° around the display, without the need for eyewear or other user instrumentation.

Vermeer is an interactive display for users to interact directly with 3D object display volume. This is a thing that has proven to be an issue in the past because they was no technology focused on this part. Vermeer is here to change that.

Apart from the abstract, I do not see anything concrete on when this is going to built, and when commercially available, what would be the price etc. But if at all they come up with an affordable product with features as explained, its going to be a great asset for AR / VR.
