<div class="text-justify"> I don’t know how I always feel when I hear about people trying to change the normal way they are created to something they want. Yeah, as humans, we might not be comfortable with the way we are, especially when we compare ourselves to others. The fat one wants to appear slimmer, and the skinny ones want to add on some weight. The short ones always wished to get taller, while the taller ones wished they were not so tall. That's life, but all of these are natural. And that's how we are naturally created. Sometimes we even get to see twins not having the same talent; some might be smarter while others might not. Can we blame them? I have heard about people doing a lot of surgeries to maybe change their face shape, their body, their gender, and a lot more. But in the end, there are always repercussions for their actions. Even the ones closest to us are those who use bleaching creams. In the end, they come to regret it because they will just have that fresh look for some time, and then as time passes on their skins won't remain the same. ### *So what if I had the opportunity to add a brain chip?* While I was growing up, I wasn't really that intelligent. If I were to be compared to my siblings. I guess we are just unique in our own way. I have most times struggled with academics, even up to my university days. It has always been from one struggle to another. And at some point, I thought those who are academically excellent got something behind their sleeves. Though it’s something I have yet to figure out. Then with time, I started thinking maybe there are some things i can use, maybe drink or eat that will keep my brain sharp. All my research didn’t yield a positive response, then I finally ended up deciding to work on myself. I should be responsible for myself; the room for improvement is in myself. Gradually, I began to practice how to read and understand, not just read to pass. I started training my brain to be quicker to pick important points faster and try to have them stick and not forget easily. But with all, we are humans, and even the elite and scholars among us are not exempt from this; we are naturally created to be forgetful. So we can only practice remembering things, but forgetting is something inevitable. There are times I will want to even say something I remembered not long ago, but the moment I need it and want to remember it is when it will skip my brain. That’s something natural. But having surgery on my skull and then inserting a chip so that I can remember things is something I will never opt for. I really love my natural being. I would rather try to improve myself than opt for a memory assistant. Though we can only see the present, there might be some exceptions when I will also allow it, for cases when the brain has been tampered with from its natural state, then the use of this chip remains the only solution. Then I have no choice at that point. *** *** This is my response to the **HIVE LEARNERS weekly prompt in the hive-learners community** for the ***Week 178 Edition 3***, and the topic to be discussed is **FOR YOUR MEMORY** *** </div> [Image from pixabay](https://pixabay.com/photos/technology-computer-chip-1283290/) [Pixabay](https://pixabay.com/photos/mechanical-brain-man-machine-2033446/) ***
