Thank you for the quick reply, and the tip on the @welcoming account - mostly I have been using the new tab for discovering content creators but it can be such a constant mass of posts it's really hard to find the quality content amongst the never ending stream of posts pulled from various internet sources or just randomly rebuilt from existing Steemit content. I do love the photo and picture challenge posts, but recently I have started seeing the same pictures popping up for challenges under different accounts - another obvious sneaky work around to build a post on someone else's work and of course pictures are hard to pick up by bots like Cheetah. I don't understand how Steemit works but what I am trying to do is to promote to people the concept of creating a blog based on themselves - their lives and their unique content - because we are all unique in our own way and just simply blogging what we are doing is creating something special and unique that will make a more varied and interesting post for others to find. To me this is the sort of content we should support, I have found and keep trying my best to support https://steemit.com/@glasstophat who is creating superb and different posts that are unique to her - but simply not getting the views and rewards that she deserves. I'm doing my best for this platform, I love it and I thank @old-guy-photos for dragging me kicking and screaming here from YouTube - it's taken me a long time to find my way but now I have it's a lovely place to be on the Internet - full of people who are forward thinking and creating real - incredible content.

This is quite interesting.  I recently posted about @rabeel parroting comments in exactly the same way.  It's a new form of plagiarism, and I wonder if these guys have begun using a bot to reword comments to say poorly what has already been said.

It's an odd attack on the platform, and I see little point.

I reckon youre wrong? What personal bias do I hold? It revolves around how one defines stole. If one requires the violating of a law, then littleboy has not stolen anything. If one defines it as a coercive non consensual act aggresive conversion then he may have. I posit whether he stole would depend on how one defines whether I had an ownership interest in the pending rewards. I contend I do since it was original, had value and helped the platform, posts like offering to sell a fender stratocaster made in usa in steem among other things voted down retributively. 

The official rules are people can downvote anything they want for any reason. But there are cultures of orgs like steem cleaners who try to create content administration to reduce spam or other things. There is a culture though of live at let live, and when steem cleaners down voted littleboy for similar stuff to what he down voted me for, they gave him a chance to correct the actions and still earn the rewards it seems--littleboy has only made statements about this in passing so not clear what he and/or steem cleaners claim occurred--when offered the chance to change behavior and not lose payout littleboy chose to. Yet he not only doesn't offer that to others he deceptively retributively downvotes people in ways that he has not clearly informed his supporters that he is acting that way. 

I thus posit two theories of theft depending on assumptions. If you believe original content should have some ownership interest in their full payout then it is accurate to call little boy's acts theft. Additionally, if littleboy is deceptively acting like a moral crusader to protect steem and stating that he only downvotes for certain reasons, but he actually goes around acting in a different manner that hurts the platform, then I feel that is fraudulent. And I feel it is accurate to state fraud is a type of theft. 

Perhaps it is you who is biased @valued-customer?

@valued-customer  and 3rd way evidence of being a thief is upvoting then unvoting me on steemfollower seemingly to charge me for upvotes while not giving  me the rewards? If he intentionally did that one of the multiple times he did, how is that not theft?

I doubt it would be a useful metric.   I know for a fact it would be inflated in my case (and I suspect it would be for many users) because of the standard humanbot badge text that follows the comments I leave.  I know many other users have pictures and standardized things they paste into comments as well.  Maybe if HTML and Markdown elements were stripped out before the character count it would be more useful?  In my case it would still be inflated.  I leave a real comment in response to the post but then also paste in this standardized blurb after my comment (when awarding my badge of originality and upvoting to activate the vote trail):
