There is no doubt that science has progressed a lot and whatever modern things we are able to see around us today are all the gifts of science because if this progress had not happened then in today's time we would have been living the same old primitive life. I wanted to ask whether we are happy now or was the life as it was earlier more prosperous. If we talk about 25 to 30 years back then science had not progressed so much and our life was quite normal. At that time every house did not have a television and if you wanted to watch a movie then either you had to go to your neighborhood or you had to go to the theater. Today we can watch any movie online on our phone whenever we want and there are so many things which used to be very difficult earlier and now those things have become very easy like another example is mobile phone and writing a letter and then sending it by post, it used to be a very long process and today you can talk to anyone whenever you want that too through video call.  So here technology has developed a lot and it should also develop because this is something which humans are very less capable of and cannot achieve modernity. Similarly science has given us a lot of benefits in many other fields, if we talk about them then it will take a lot of time.

While science has provided us with so many modern things, there are some things of science which can cause great harm. It can cause destruction and we have seen many examples in the past where this has been proved. I am talking about the invention of the atomic bomb. Today, there are about 9 countries in the world which have atomic bombs. There are examples in the future of how dangerous these atomic bombs can be and how much destruction they can cause. The radiation that comes out of the atomic bomb can harm the coming generation and its examples are right in front of us. Almost everyone will know about Hiroshima and Nagasaki and everyone will know how terrible the accident was. There have been many nuclear accidents which have caused terrible destruction. Like you must have heard about Chernobyl. I do not understand one thing that why did man become his own enemy because whoever made the atomic bomb must have thought that how much destruction it can cause, then why did he do this.  It is good to progress in science but we should focus only on those things which are important for the world. Only those things are needed in science which can benefit humanity a lot and can bring about a big change. Apart from the atom bomb, there are many other things which are inventions of science but instead of benefit, they can cause more harm, so science can also be very harmful if it is used by the wrong person.

If you look closely, these people do this to make themselves powerful and they can do anything to increase their dominance. War never benefits anyone and the biggest casualty in war is only and only the innocent people who have no stone unturned. Big people and those in politics never have any problem, only the common man who has to bear all this has the most trouble. It costs millions of dollars every day to fight a war and if seen in a way, this expense goes in vain because it does no good to anyone.
