Hello friends, I am pleased to greet you. Today reviewing my files on the computer, I found photographs of a job with my colleagues from the university and I want to share them with you.

>Hola amigos, gusto en saludarles. Hoy revisando mis archivos en la computadora, me encontré con fotografías de un trabajo junto a mis compañeros de la universidad y quiero compartirlas con ustedes.

In class we were asked to do a simulation about an artist or a musical group, we had to present a short biography about the artist and hold a small concert. We were five members of the team, we looked for a band to participate, we all wanted to surprise! We did not know which band to choose. A member of the team, a fan of classic rock, proposed the American rock band KISS, formed in 1973, known for the makeup on their faces and their extraordinary outfits, we investigated this band and were delighted.

>En clase nos pidieron que realizáramos una simulación sobre un artista o una agrupación musical, debíamos presentar una breve biografía sobre el artista y realizar un pequeño concierto. Del equipo éramos cinco integrantes, buscamos alguna banda para participar todos, ¡queríamos sorprender! no sabíamos qué banda elegir. Un integrante del equipo, fanático del rock clásico, propuso la banda de rock estadunidense KISS, formada en el año 1973, conocidos por los maquillajes en su rostro y sus atuendos extraordinarios, investigamos sobre esta banda y quedamos encantados.

To share the characters, we did a test to find out who had the longest tongue, to imitate the bassist of the band Gene Simmons, best known for his theatrical role as "The Demon", this character was won by my good friend Liliana. Luis who proposed the band, had to be the drummer Peter Criss, his stage name is "The Catman", Maria was Vinnie Vincent "The Wizard", José was played by guitarist and vocalist Paul Stanley "The Starchild" and I imitate the another guitarist Ace Frehley "The Spaceman".

>Para repartirnos los personajes, hicimos una prueba para saber quién tenía la lengua más larga, para imitar al bajista de la banda Gene Simmons, mejor conocido por su papel teatral como “The Demon”, este personaje lo gano mi buena amiga Liliana. A Luis quien propuso la banda, le toco ser el baterista Peter Criss, su nombre artístico es “The Catman”, María fue Vinnie Vincent “The Wizard”, José le toco el guitarrista y vocalista Paul Stanley “The Starchild” y yo imite al otro guitarrista Ace Frehley “The Spaceman”.

My husband, who was my boyfriend at the time, is a musician and plastic artist, he helped us a lot: he lent us his two electric guitars and his bass, with paint, recycling materials (newspaper and cardboard), he made a battery that seemed real, with clay He made skulls for the stage and helped us with the whole stage.

>Mi esposo que en ese entonces era mi novio, es musico y artista plástico, nos ayudó mucho: nos prestó sus dos guitarras eléctricas y su bajo, con pintura, materiales de reciclaje (periódico y cartón) fabrico una batería que parecía real, con arcilla hizo cráneos para la tarima y nos ayudó con todo el escenario.

We had a week studying the band, we saw the movements they made during their concerts and we listened to their songs, Luis was very excited! Being a fanatic, he organized a choreography for the concert that we had to simulate. We chose the songs "I Was Made For Lovin 'You" and "Detroit Rock City" which were the most popular and with a lot of rhythm. We rehearsed the choreography for several days and studied the biography that we should expose of each character.

>Tuvimos una semana estudiando a la banda, veíamos los movimientos que realizaban durante sus conciertos y escuchábamos sus canciones, ¡Luis estaba muy emocionado! Por ser fanático, él organizo una coreografía para el concierto que debíamos simular. Elegimos las canciones “I Was Made For Lovin' You” y “Detroit Rock City” que fueron las más populares y con mucho ritmo. Ensayamos por varios días la coreografía y estudiamos la biografía que debíamos exponer de cada personaje.

The long-awaited day arrived, we were very nervous, Liliana, who represented Simmons, told us: I can't stick my tongue out! -  Why? - I cringed! - Hahaha ... It made us laugh a lot. We told her it was the nerves, she kept repeating that her tongue twitched and during the performance, she was never able to stick her tongue out.

>Llegó el día tan esperado, estábamos muy nerviosos, Liliana quien representaba a Simmons, nos dijo: ¡No puedo sacar la lengua! –  Por qué? – Se me encogió! –  Jajaja… Nos hizo reír mucho. Le dijimos que eran los nervios, ella seguía repitiendo que su lengua se encogió y durante la presentación, nunca pudo sacar la lengua.

The first team ... Michael Jackson, the second ... Lady Gaga, we could not see their performances, we were with makeup and costumes, when our turn came, the stage was quickly prepared, when we went out, they began to take many photos of us, which did not happen With the other groups, few knew the KISS band but were surprised to see the make-up faces, the real musical instruments and all the scenery. When our teacher entered, her eyes sparkled with joy! To our surprise this band loves it, it felt like a real concert. The fireworks filled the place with smoke and that benefited us a lot, although they were scared because they thought we were going to burn the classroom, hahahaha…

>El primer equipo… Michael Jackson, el segundo… Lady Gaga, no pudimos ver sus actuaciones, estábamos con el maquillaje y vestuario, cuando llego nuestro turno, rápidamente se preparó el escenario, cuando salimos, comenzaron a tomarnos muchas fotos, cosa que no paso con los otros grupos, pocos conocían la banda KISS pero se sorprendieron al ver las caras maquilladas, los instrumentos musicales reales y toda la escenografía. Cuando entró nuestra profesora, ¡le brillaron los ojos de alegría! Para nuestra sorpresa le encanta esta banda, se sintió como en un concierto real. Los pirotécnicos llenaron de humo el lugar y eso nos benefició mucho, aunque se asustaron porque pensaron que íbamos a quemar el aula, Jajajaja…

The presentation took longer because we called a lot of public, fans began to come out from everywhere, we could not take off the wardrobe because they wanted to take photos with us, the drums seemed so real that more than one was surprised when hitting and realizing that they were made of cardboard. This experience was unforgettable, full of lots of rock and smiles.

>La presentación llevo más tiempo por que llamamos mucho público, comenzaron a salir fanáticos de todas partes, no podíamos quitarnos el vestuario porque querían tomarse fotos con nosotros, la batería parecía tan real que más de uno se llevo una sorpresa al golpear y darse cuenta que estaban hechas de cartón. Esta experiencia fue inolvidable, llena de mucho rock y sonrisas.
