Hello everyone, some of you may have noticed that I have gone for another week and I had my reasons. Actually it's not that personal, but it is quite the thing that actually stopped half my daily things. The reality is that my phone broke down and for a few days I haven't had a phone. I didn't even have a secondary phone which I could use in the meantime while my actual primary device gets fixed. So I was almost completely stranded from everyone other than my desktop which usually only used messenger on. I was worried about how I would come up with the money to fix the phone and with other stuff that I need to take care of, I couldn't find time to visit this place. Although my desktop did have discord and I saw that earlier this week there was a competition. The topic was history repeating. And I thought this could be a fascinating topic for me to talk about because I think there are many things in our history that have repeated or are in due course to repeat. But obviously I don't want to go into anything too sensitive.

So I want to talk about finance. And probably the biggest and most concurrent example will be the trend of how AI is behaving in the stock market. And the eerie resemblance of it to the dot com bubble in the 1990s. Even if any of you already know what that.com mobile was. Still I would go over it briefly and try to draw my conclusions. So back in that time the internet was just getting mainstream. And every business would be trying to get their businesses online at that time. By doing so obviously they could reach more people and their customer base would increase and they would make a profit. This was the thought process back then. So investors around the globe and mostly in the United States through money at anything that had a.com at the end of it. Because all they saw was the growth of money.v soon most of those businesses collapsed and the subsequent panic led to the.com vowel of the 1990s. Now how is it relevant in our today's world? Thing is, AI is all the rage right now. And people think that AI will take over the world and all the jobs in it. They're not wrong to think so considering how fast AI is developing. But at the same time there is this same trend from 30 years ago that people are trying to integrate AI into their products one way or the other. And they think that this would make profit. So like in the '90s people now are throwing money at anything that has AI in its name. It is the modern buzzword and I really hope that this historic resemblance doesn't follow through because that would mean another market crash and you and I are probably going to starve metaphorically but it is very uncanny that people are trying to do the same thing.

But looking from the outside the goal is the same. Try a risky investment. Wager your money that it would pull through and sometimes most of them don't. And in those cases you might be the one holding the bucket.
