For this you need to first learn HTML, CSS and Javascript (especially any framework like jQuery). Then basically web programming such as PHP, ASP.NET, Java or any other programming language. However, you can say that PHP is the most current work.</p>

<p>Many seek training centers to learn web development for freelancing. But there is no need to go anywhere in the beginning. You have to master the basics first. Dear @abusamad

Personally I don't think there is much money to be made as a web developer any more. Especially since sites like wix.com made it very easy and very cheap to create your own website.

I created www.projecthope.pl and www.tropickat.com without any knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and I came to conclusion, that very few customers would really need to know any of it. Even learning wordpress isn't that necessary in current days.

Perhaps I'm wrong - that's just my impression.
