*"Control the oil, and you control nations. Control the food, and you control the people."*. I was about to wrap a whole post around this quote from Henry Kissinger, but I've seen people around here don't give too much of a fuck about the deep state and the elites that are pulling the strings of the society.

Hence, I'll stick to what we all love and got very attached to for the past few months and that's crypto. I am "fully immersed" in crypto for about five years now. I actually got wrinkles since the time I bought my first coin. 

LTC was my choice of entering the crypto space that I made back in 2017. I had prior to my buying LTC some Augur(REP) that was gifted to me by a good friend of mine who actually brought me to this virtual space, thus I basically knew how to use a blockchain before the LTC episode. 

It was LTC, though, the coin that I first bought with my own money. I had 10 of them bought for around $500 back in October 2017 and sold them all just a few days after I entered the position for a tiny $50 profit. I was scared, you know. I was intrigued by the tech, the potential profits were looking juicy as hell, but I was scared to not lose money with such internet money. 

It was at the end of a mega bull run that we had back in 2017 when I jumped into the crypto pond, but I was, however, afraid to lose money, although there was still plenty of time left to make money with most of the shitcoins we had pumping at that time... I was nevertheless *quite confident* about buying the top and holding all the way down into the bear market :).

So, if I could go back in time to the first time I bought crypto and give myself some words of advice, what would it be...

Well, plain and simple. The halving makes the cycles, buy during extreme fear and selling when everyone around wants a piece of it is **a must**, and don't over trade... 

Although I'm not a "schooled trader" I've marked quite a few trades in the past five years. I've held onto positions very very long time when the market made no significant moves, but I traded like a mad man when it started getting traction. Overall not too profitable. 

The best and most simple strategy to make money(or compound your portfolio) in crypto is to buy during bear markets and sell when the bull market makes your bags pump. Duh... It's that simple. It involves patience through volatility, conviction, mental stability, and direction. 

I still reminisce on the over half a million DOGE I once owned. Had I held them for an extra more year I'd probably have my own house now, a very nice car, and would have spent some pretty great vacations out of this shithole. All I had to do was... basically nothing. 

I overtraded, flipped from one position to another, and lost tons of potential profits. I've paid good money for my lessons, but luckily I've positioned myself better for the next bull market. I know it's not anywhere near the corner, but at some point, we will have one hitting us again.

When you least expect it to come, it will. When the media will be flooded with bad news, awful forecasts, and shivering propaganda, it's when things will actually turn around? Markets are usually ahead of the events unfolding in real life and the crypto market has a habit of pricing them in even earlier. 

Bottom line, I wish I could turn back the time and do some things differently. It's impossible, though... However, crypto is still in its early phases, although we kind of feel old after a cycle or two spent in this space, but opportunities lie ahead for whoever has the openness to profit.
