Why do all these officials appear on TV or social media, proudly announcing breakthrough technologies and functionalities of the almost completely rigged system, looking like clowns? Because, quite frankly, that's exactly what they are... Most officials, starting from the presidents of almost every country (except El Salvador), are mere puppets of the bankers. So, the Federal Reserve of the US, the infamous money printer that has been going "BRRR" so often lately, just launched its "innovative" instant payment system called FedNow. What sets this system apart from the existing payment systems in the US? Well, it's a direct product of the FED and enables 24/7 instant payments between financial institutions. Wow, much wow... Such a groundbreaking development! But hold on a second, haven't we seen this elsewhere already? Blockchains like Bitcoin, Hive, Ethereum, and a few others have been doing pretty much the same thing for quite some time now. Oh, and let's not forget about Dogecoin, with its insane speed transfers and ultra-cheap fees. However, don't expect governments to utilize any of these so-called public blockchains (yes, Bitcoin is a public blockchain) for the use case FedNow was designed for. It's simply not in their interest, and before delving into why the FED desperately pushed for FedNow, despite the existence of public blockchains that could outperform it for quite some time now, let's take a look at what the banks are truly capable of... >Kanye West immediately got dropped by his bank for saying offensive things on social media >Jeffrey Epstein never got dropped by his bank for being a pedophile >Balenciaga hasn't been dropped by their banks despite posting grotesque child abuse Do you grasp the message here? These situations have already occurred, involving commercial financial entities and private individuals. Now, just imagine the potential consequences when FedNow becomes the norm, and most of our internet activities are monitored by AI to prevent the spread of so-called "hate speech." You could innocently post a tweet deemed harmful by some algorithm, and before you even reach the grocery store, your funds could be locked away. Why does the FED need FedNow before rolling out CBDCs? FedNow is currently being promoted as the next-level form of money, facilitating instant payments 24/7, with plans to develop it into an international system in the near future. Many average Joes aren't familiar with crypto, and even if they've heard of it, they consider it too risky to use. Consequently, they may flock towards services like FedNow. Once the real CBDCs are introduced, they'll be a whole different beast. They'll be marketed as "distributed ledger technology," but in reality, CBDCs will be nothing more than programmable money. Imagine being restricted to spend them only on products and services approved by your social profile, with expiration dates, and the ability to freeze your funds and accounts instantly. It may sound dystopian, but there's a high chance we'll end up living in such a reality. Automation will erode many of our current rights and freedoms, something I'm not excited about. As much as I appreciate technology's impact on human evolution, I also believe it has the potential to inflict harm. CBDCs signify the end of money as we know it. While services like FedNow offer the convenience of instant payments and round-the-clock financial access, they'll also grant governments and banking cartels even more control over our finances. Just like Coca-Cola, which isn't advertised as a poisonous drink, CBDCs will likely be sugar-coated to the public. Functionalities such as instant credits embedded in these forms of money may seem appealing, and expats may find it convenient to send instant cash back home to their relatives. However, all of this convenience comes at a hefty and painful cost. This is why I'm so enthusiastic about using crypto, developing on crypto, and blending its functionalities as payment systems in the real world while using cash whenever possible. We need to say NO if we want to divert the ship from hitting the iceberg. I don't know about you, but I'm doing my best in this regard. *Thanks for your attention,* *Adrian* Posted Using [LeoFinance Alpha](https://leofinance.io/@acesontop/fednow-is-revolutionizing-payment-networks-and-paving-the-way-for-cbdcs)

I've yet to see a compelling argument for the link between FedNow and CBDC. These two things are not complementary. They cancel each other out. They compete with each other and are mutually exclusive. They work completely differently. FedNow is just banks doing normal banking shit. There's nothing extras sinister about it. Business as usual. >Consequently, they may flock towards services like FedNow. This is not how it works. You can only use FedNow directly if you have a master account. Only banks in America (and friends) have this license. How is anyone going to flock to a service they can't use? A central bank is a bank for banks; they do not service the public directly. It's like saying everyone has flocked to Linux because all the best servers run on Linux... even though most people have no idea they are using it, as the frontends they are using are still Windows and iOS and android etc. Again I've done a lot of research on cbcd (much less on fednow) and very much struggle to see how the two could possibly be connected to each other (except via alarmism).

FedNow has nothing to do with CBDCs. That is just foolishness espoused by people who dont even take the time to look into things which is most of the internet.
