I am not too engaging lately on Hive, as you might have noticed already and there's no particular reason for that, it happens sometimes. I did stumble upon a few introductory posts today and I instantly reminisced on my early times on Hive.

There was a trend at some point on Steem in welcoming new users and it was quite simple doing that, you just had to go to *my introduction* tag and scroll through almost endless such posts. Some were abusing it because new fellows were usually having their content curated when having that type of introductory post. 

I still remember my first post, the introduction one earned me 4 STEEM. Than a series of $0.01 posts payouts followed :D and it lasted for months, but it was all good. Held my head up and walked "through the snow" during the bear market. 

New users are landing on soft pillows right now, literally. It's like everything is sorted out. You just have to "find your calling", if you didn't came with it already packed, and you're good to go.

Every community is created by like minded people, each and one of them(communities) kind of have their own curators and comparing this era we have for Hive with the one from four years ago, I'd say getting around here is way easier than it did.

Four years ago you couldn't get noticed, aka hitting the trending page, without massive use of bid bots, but now these are history and the bid bots have become "mere curators" that share "free love with everybody". Well, it's not actually free, because as I mentioned above, you have to *link yourself to a community* and do something.

Steem back then was such a mess... It was all but a bunch of mix content, paid votes and circle jerking. Only a few have had the chance of growing their account at a high pace without using bid bots. I hated bit bots, I guess I mentioned that in the past as well.

Even from an earning perspective newbies nowadays have more chances of earning than we did. There's tons of second layer tokens that you can collect just by typing some tags along or by getting upvoted through certain interfaces where one curator holds VP. Hence when we talk Hive, we don't just consider HIVE.

And it's just getting started...

I know, it looks like a decade passed since we hard forked from Steem, but in reality, when you look at how the industry is evolving, how projects are being created and how much potential is there to be worked with, sure looks like it's just getting started. 

We have come to a point where it's nearly impossible to be involved with everything Hive has to offer and it will only "get worse". SPK Network, Ragnarok, project blank, more DeFi from Leofinance and it's just the beginning of the year. 

If you just landed on Hive and you consider yourself late to the party, think again... The growth potential newbies have these days is way bigger than we used to have a few years ago. You just have to get involved and be consistent. It took me years before reaching reputation 70 and I see folks that achieve that in one year now.

@taskmaster4450 was right, the era of abundance is upon us.
