Blockchain social communities are very interesting. Where-as facebook feels like a school lunchroom cafeteria with random screaming and fighting going on in the background, places like HIVE feel more like a nestled group of people deciding to skip school lunch and go play hookie at a speakeasy.

I heard about Hi5, but I haven't registered on it. My first social media account is through Friendster, then Multiply, finally Facebook and Twitter. Of course, Hive, Leo, and other crypto socials. I am very excited with ProjectBlank.

Yes sosial media is not the best media

I got shadowbanned on Twitter after I pointed out maltreatment of a candidate in the 2016 presidential primary. Approaching 12K, my follower growth was steady and strong, yet as soon as I compared his treatment to the favored one, it was like a tap had been suddenly turned off.

If you watch the [Joe Rogan interview with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZCBRHOg3PQ), he tells you how it's done. In effect, they accelerate your tweets velocity through your followers timelines so quickly, that they barely see it. Like dropping a rock from a skyscraper, almost no one notices it.

I had looked at Steemit the year before and didn't know it was for real. After the shadowbanning, I decided to take another look, finally joining in July 2017. 

The censorship-resistant nature of the blockchain is what brought me here and the community is what keeps me here. I'm so glad we have Hive, Leofinance and all of the other tribes in which to express our opinions. And shortly, we'll have a place where no one will br able to "blank" us out! :)

people are sick and tired of mainstream media but at the same time, they are not aware of the many opportunities like Hive and leo. I hope this will change soon with all the projects coming up!

Until I start micro-blogging on noise.cash, I could not realize the potential of micro-blogging. It provides 50x faster engagement + much better awareness raising opportunities. I've seen a lot of people investing in BCH on the one side while new people were onboarding on Hive & Leo on the other 😌 

There is an obscure need for a better option than Twitter in crypto ecosystem and, as usual, if there is something needed, Hive fixes this 😏 Fingers crossed for ProjectBlank ^^

My first social media was Hi5 as well lol, i never got around using it tho, i was never a social media person. I did do facebook though for a couple of months, i met my high school friends who had moved overseas. I thought we would rekindle the friendship and things will go back to how they were. I was wrong, the whole thing died down and it was the beginning of the end of social media for me. Till BBm which was also an instant messaging app but none of them come close to the social nedia experience and my heavy usage of ~~steemit~~ hive.

As I discovered the tremendous machinery of manipulation of consciences behind Facebook and Twitter, I moved away from both social networks to the point that I no longer publish or observe anything exposed in those social networks. I believe that their perversion has reached a point where they are able to determine who wins an election or who has the right or not to have a public life in the virtual world.

 I believe that Hive/Leofinace have come into this world to provide people with a protective shield against the infamy of the traditional media and the social networks of the elites that every second employ against us their army of conscience-slaver algorithms.

I have no doubt that all the upcoming projects associated with Hive and Leofinance will be highly supported by your community, this will make our social network become a refuge for those banished from the other centralized spaces, where pro-establishment thinking prevails over criticism. I am delighted to be here, to say what I feel freely and without fear and also to monetize my thoughts.

It hits upon a key selling point with the masses: ease of use.

With Leofinance, one can sign up using a twitter account (and soon FB and others) and start engaging.  The same will hold true for blank.

Thus, the learning curve, at least to participate, is zero.  Sure they will have to learn about Hive's features but they can do that over time, kind of a phase in process.

As soon as the is released, it will be hit on social media by us hard.  That is why not releasing the name, unless there is some legal reason or something of that nature, is a mistake.  We could be promoting the name already all over the web.
