Why 99% of The Crypto Investors "Are Losers", and Why That's a Good Thing

Yesterday afternoon while I was doing my daily walk some guy on a bike passed by me. It was a familiar face and I knew precisely from where I knew that guy. The dude was our garbage man, who was also an avid slots player. I recognized his face because I also used to hang around in such places many years ago.

Why does that guy play slots? One could ask... I guess it's because he wants to make more income... Is he making more cash by playing slots, though? I don't think so. Could he invest his spare bucks into something else? Definitely, he could even choose crypto for that, but I doubt he will ever do it.

The man doesn't have the proper education to get in resonance with such investments. However, in the same way, this guy would be better with putting his cash into crypto instead of slots, so most of the crypto traders/investors could do better by playing the slots instead of buying and trading crypto.

Both categories are losing money with what they do anyway...

Here you have a great example of some Asian dudes [wasting $100k in profits on a Bitcoin pump](https://twitter.com/JacobCanfield/status/1572663395211481091?t=Yj8OZ-kNEhOPVTuF1S_EOw&s=35) in under a minute. Why did that happen? Is the market "that rude" to the young traders?

Well, the market is a bitch, no doubt about that, but the number one reason why most(probably 99%) of the crypto participants are losing money with crypto is due to **greed**. I see no reason other than that for so many of us being on a loss, wasting tons of potential profits, or even throwing cash into the bin like in the LUNA case or some other shitcoins and rug pulls that looked so inviting and promising.

The fear and greed index for Bitcoin is such an overlooked gem, especially during bull markets when almost everyone should theoretically make money. *Theoretically make money*... It's so simple, just sell on extreme greed and buy the panic...

Now, I know all of this shit on my own because I am able to see my past mistakes when I was soo greedy for soo many times in my experience on dealing with crypto and how much that cost me. The thought of selling too early is sometimes haunting, but profits are profits and we shouldn't regret taking those off the table even if it looks too early.

We should instead regret letting our bags inflate and then deflate once the hype is gone, without doing anything and profiting from the bull market.

We're greedy motherfuckers... and that's the no.1 reason why most of us are losers in crypto. However, time spent in the market is highly valuable and that's why we should not regret all of these bags left to drown or the wasted opportunities we have. The ones lucid enough to realize that will at some point "make it" and that's how you make your financial education the hard way and these failures are the price we pay for such learning.

Most losers in crypto nowadays are those who entered in 2021. Just like most losers in crypto used to be those who entered in late 2017. The latter are most likely to look like winners in comparison with the former.

Tbh I have learned my fair share of losses over the years in crypto. Now I am much more determined in long term profits than of short terms lol. As almost every time I have made money off of crypto projects I poofed it somewhere else. I admit I was greedy but in some scenarios it has given me toooooo much in return. I suppose I was lucky in few of those. But all we need is a sustainable project in crypto and that's it! While I do admit it is close to impossible to make someone understand the basics of crypto and let alone invite them to invest (time/money). 

I guess there is no shortcuts at all! Just have patience and invest in the right thing may that it be crypto/real life investments.

I see myself in your article when I didn't sell ETH at 4,000$ and I decided to keep it until now and I still regret this decision.

Learning from it, I'm trying to set up a target, which will be ~ 40% per year, break it down into a monthly target, and stick to the plan by using auto orders to eliminate the emotion.
