Why is Blocktrades Downvoting Every Post Ranchorelaxo Upvotes?

I had a [photography post](https://hive.blog/hive-194913/@acesontop/unexpected-trip-with-unexpected-results) five days ago, nothing fancy but still... and to my amazement it got upvoted pretty nice by folks who appreciated it, and it currently sits at $18.82. Among quite some many curators to it I've noticed that @ranchorelaxo has voted my post as well. It's the first time that happens...

It was a nice vote, close to $7, but to my disappointed @blocktrades came with a downvote soon after, and melted away most of the curation from @ranchorelaxo. Why does that happens I have no clue...

I noticed this pattern on other hivers posts as well, and was curious what's the thing with @blocktrades downvoting what @ranchorelaxo is upvoting consistently. I know that everyone is free to use their VP as they wish, but unfortunately if this is some war between the two, the content creators getting their work curated by @ranchorelaxo seem to be the only ones suffering.

Well... I might have exaggerated with the suffering part, as I am quite satisfied with that post's payout, but I still don't see the logic. Maybe anyone reading this post will make things clear for me, or who knows, maybe @bocktrades will do that.

I will mention that I had upvotes from @blocktrades and don't take the downvote personal, but still... the downvote didn't felt good. No hard feelings though. We're decentralized, right?

Nothing is taken away by downvotes, though it might feel like it.
When stakeholders don't use their downvotes to mitigate abuse we all lose.

If you are not following downvote trails, you likely should be.
You can find them on hive.vote.
Set your downvote manna cut off to 35% and give the abuse fighters some help.

Plenty of farmers out there providing the chain no effort content and taking out real money rewards.

Every hive abusers take comes out of the wallets of those of us that don't abuse the rules solely to profit in btc.

Without hive.vote only coders will run bots, normies will suffer.
Without autovoters populating my read lists I wouldn't have time, nor memory capacity, to keep up with those I want to read. 
If they don't post often, I forget their account names.

The problem you are looking for is voting in excess of 500mv.
If nobody voted with more than 500mv, the rest of us would absolutely love this place.
Our votes would triple, or more.

As it is, the top sucks up as much as they can, and anyone investing pays them to do it.
This is why we are dropping in the market cap rankings, imo.
Too many people caught onto the game.
Too many people dumping as quick as they can.

I don't think that's advisable...

Say hive.vote and all the other public autovote interfaces close sites tomorrow. Starting from then, only those who can run their own bots can benefit of autovotes, making things even less fair compared to a 100% manual curator. Public autovote sites 'democratize' the auto-votes, making them available to many, as oppose of to a few.

Manual vote has its virtues and helps decentralize the PoB. But autovotes and curation trails have their roles too. I used to vote manually a lot. Currently I outsourced voting to curation trails, mostly. Not the most optimized option for rewards, but one that gives me enough curated material to read, which means less time I need to spend finding it.

I still don't understand why the @blocktrades downvotes killing @ranchorelaxo's upvotes. He's not upvoting haejin's posts... It's basically taking rewards away from authors... am I right?

No, it just redistributes the rewards more evenly among authors. The same amount of rewards are given out by the blockchain.
