Neither. I'll explain it, but in a not funny way. When a person smiles, he solves his problems more efficiently. He is calm and thinks more rationally. If you think about problems constantly, you ruin your psyche and health, and you start taking it out on others. One genuine smile a day is like Ecency Boost for newbies. 
Or as a "game", after long "dry" week for men - the pleasure is truly immense. 😄

Smile + Rational Thinking = Problem Solving = Positive Thinking + Self-esteem.
