Why I like to set a benchmark to evaluate my goals

For this year I had decided that I want to ry to reach certain goals and keep track of my progress in a systematic way. The reason for doing that, in addition to actually reach these goals, is to realize the progress that I'm making and getting additional motivation from that.

It's 53 days ago that I've set up [my goals for 2021](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@achim03/yofqxizu). 

## My goals for 2021
By 31.12.2021, I want to reach the following targets:
- Hive 10'000 staked
- Leo 2'000 staked
- CTP 30'000 staked
- Tron 5'000 staked
- Dcity 5'000 Sim income per day before taxes

In terms of time, these 53 days represent 14.06% of the time frame from 19.12.20 to 31.12.21. This is my benchmark and I want to reach the same progression for each token.

## A benchmark to follow my results more precisely
By setting a benchmark that allows me to compare my results with the time that has passed so far, I've the feeling that I can track my progression in a much more precise manner. If I'm below the benchmark, I simply have to speed things up. Write more posts or buy some coins. I can correct and change my habits early enough to reach the goals.

## Analysis of the results so far

When I look at my benchmark of 14.06%, I see that I'm below it for almost all coins a part from dcity. 

With the markets being a bit crazy lately, I try to keep some liquid tokens in my wallets in order to react if necessary. This explains why I'm maybe a bit below for tokens like Hive and CTP. 

I've tried to increase the number of publications in the past days and posted more often in Leo to get more Leo tokens. I believe this will be the most difficult target to achieve. 

To reach my tron goals, I'm actually using some articles that are not hive related and post them on the old blockchain. This gives me also a payout in Tron that I can stake later. 

I still feel on track and hope that I will reach my goals.

You are not that far from that 14% that you are chasing, so your goals are still reachable... At least you don't have to worry about dCity goal progress... :) You can focus on others... 

Creating goals, and doing these "checkouts" is a fantastic way of keeping yourself accountable and motivated to reach them... It helped me a lot in the past year, and it's helping in this one, too... 

LEO curation with a linear curve will add up, and with creating 3-4 posts per week, you should be good to go.. ;)

Man that's a great goal to have. I've actually bought 4 plots of land but I see so much potential in the land expanse. Maybe it would be an idea to make a CTP pool to buy a land tract and then get a return from it?!?

If user are ready, then it can be great.

One good thing I feel about land that Land plots are fixed so if more new player come land might become more interesting.
