[Acid Plays] WoW Classic - Druid & Hunter combo feat. @strawhat

After needing some time off from Hive and other various things and possibly getting a bit too old for the old CSGO shooters and games alike, we thought what could we play that would be a bit more chill, laid back and at the same time take a bit longer to accomplish and finish the game. If there's something that's gonna take a long time to finish these days where instant gratification is a big proponent in the minds of most of the gamers, it's going to be WoW Classic.

Finding out The Burning Crusade was going to launch some time in May as well it also gave us a goal to strive to get to 60 before that happens, so let's see how it goes. 

Here's the beginning of our Journey in Mulgore as two Taurens looking to level up together with that Druid - Hunter synergy that may come to good use in TBC Arena.

Have you been playing or played classic/vanilla back in the day? The struggle to level up is real, wonder if there are any people in existence today that have all classes to 60 before TBC launches.

I have always wanted to play word of warcraft, but I have never had the chance to play it.

word of warcraft is one of the best mmo rpg video games ever, at least for me it is.

I have played the classic strategy games, and I can't wait to play reforged, I know it has a lot of negative reviews but I will play it anyway.

My favorite civilization are the orcs, hulking, bloodthirsty creatures, it's awesome.

Great game my friend, I liked it a lot.

I played back in the day but never got past level 40. I picked it back up when Classic launched and played it for a couple of months. Made it to 60 on my rogue, geared up for a bit and did Molten Core. I logged out straight after the raid and never logged back in. Just face-rolling every boss and killing Ragnaros in 2 minutes just wasn't fun. The game is great but the focus on min-max just takes it away for me. I probably won't be playing TBC even though I had a great time with it back in the day. Did my first raids in that expansion.

Yeah, I felt this a bit when I started playing retail again, it was completely different from way back when I used to play a lot. It's all about addons that show what you've already cleared, your itemlevel and just queueing and getting bosses killed without even really having to talk to anyone except for just saying hi and ty bye.

I feel a lot of that has dripped down to the classic too, people don't care what kind of player you are, it's like wanting a job and they want you to have 5 years experience at that job already. Even if you do you need it on that character or they won't give you a second thought to invite you to a party.

Really annoying, especially when you've been part of top 20 EU guilds during TBC-WOTLK and close to gladiator ranks in arena to get denied over and over and never find a guild cause you lack the experience an addon is telling others you don't have, lol. Maybe with a focused start in TBC, getting to max level quick and finding the right people through dungeons that way you can stand a chance to be taken serious but dunno, it's different times now.

You're spot on with this. The guild I played with in Classic was supposed to be chill an tailored towards people with jobs and families. If you needed to go ninja AFK during a raid that would be fine. Everyone would understand. Loot would be distributed evenly. That just never happened. While the premise remained people just wasn't on board with it once eng game hit. People who hadn't played Classic and didn't know the bosses weren't prioritized for dungeons and raids.

I think much of it boils down to MMOs having become more of a chore than a game these days. Tons of dailies and weeklies and never enough time to do them. Things need to happen quick so they can move on to the next thing. Bleh.
