Probably the funding for projects.  This should bring more skilled devs and interesting stuff to the fore which I think is what we need to bring value to Steem and STEEM.

SPS may turn out some good things. Also, regressive reward curve1 should put an end to some kinds of annoying abuse like people just upvoting everything for 1%.
Communities may be nice but that's not really an hf21 feature, it would be like giving hf21 credit for me having a nice morning.

I don't think HF21 won't affect voting behavior but will certainly affect earnings for big account holders @acidyo.

I think the best part of HF21 will be the fact that Steemit Inc. isn't dead.

Every time Steem has been in the news it was about some disaster or another.  

I think when people find out the HF21 got pushed through they'll be asking themselves:

Just the fact that we are all still here trying to bring value to the community should be enough.

One thing at a time. That is what i want. Give us JUST the EIP and let's see how things ring out. I KNOW this is going to be a problem when we have a compendium of changes being enforced all at once.  The EIP could be good, but we won't know since the other changes are coming with it. You can't get accurate metrics when there are 10 other variables at play.

My reading of the math tells me that little votes are getting smaller, bigger votes remain about the same, except that making smaller votes smaller will free up some of the pool to help keep larger votes larger.

I'm sure the decision to not label this a 'sublinear' reward curve was a great tactic.
Not real accurate, but great if your aim is to obscure.

The nice thing  about this hf is, even though the pool rakers will rake in even more than before, maybe the sps will set us free.
The question is how long will it take to fix the design features of this one, and what will the price be when that happens.

I'm looking forward to reading the comments on here. I can't even remember anything I'm really looking forward to. On the one hand, yeah 50/50 "curation" might help manual curation...but voting is not curation! Trending does not work. The whole idea that people would vote on good posts because they'll be more likely to be upvoted and they'd get paid more didn't work. The only way it might work is if people build tools for "curation" that are made for end users. Then people will upvote good posts on that tool, hoping to get the curation rewards as it gets more and more upvotes.

But I'll get to reading the comments and see if there's anything I look forward to and can't think of.

Oh, I'm looking forward to SMT's. I never believed SMT's were the magic bullet everyone seemed to think they are...but if I can ever get the time to play with them, I'd like to. While the SCOT team might think $1000 is cheap, most people don't have it just laying around to spend on making a community on Steem. Although, if done right, it probably would pay off.
