Yup, rarely above 85% these days, but I don't vote below 80% and so I have about a 5% window - its stressful!  I'm not sure I could cope with 350k SP.

I think you did it the right way, most of the ones you speak of have shit engagement on their posts these days, as most people are aware they've been dicks since the start.

I was running under 80 way too much, now I try to maintain 90.
I had some delegations expire and SP increase though. I also cut down the people I just automatically vote for. I'm thinking of just doing more bounties or tips when I run low on VP. I have a weekly target and I've been above that lately, although it could be from gambling. Time to look into it and maybe give a little more back.

Me too even when I was on a trip last weekend, the highest was 60+ percent. :-)

Just set the limit at 75 or 80.

It's temptating for me to vote everything at 100%, but that isn't simply possible without diluting that scarce voting power. But I guess it's a good problem to have compared to the opposite: no one worthy to upvote and VP sitting useless at 100%.

Second - what a great problem to have that you keep finding content/creators and quality comments you want to upvote. It may be hard - but taking a little break from voting for a few days to let things recharge isn’t a bad idea. 

I tried that once when I trashed my VP after Steemfest because I was voting so many people I met and it was HARD. Haha That upvote botton is way too tempting when you find a post you like!🙈

I was looking at some of **@penguinpablo's** stats posts, and there's just a gradual uptick in usage... and I've noticed that some of the people who suddenly "vanished" off my feed weeks/months ago are starting to show up again. 

I don't have much to spread around to start with, so with more activity *and* trying to help out (in my small way) on the various "minnow making" initiatives currently running... it's easy to get below 80% in the blink of an eye. Sometimes, I think the only thing that keeps me from completely burning it up is not having much *time* available!

I've got the same problem, I don't know how many curation trails you follow, but lowering the voting percentage on those seemed to help for me. 

If not, I know it's kinda hard to limit yourself to only give X amount of upvotes per day. I personally want to give each post I like a 100% upvote, but that's just unsustainable in the long run. I've just set a max. vote percentage of around 20% to 30% for most posts. I do still give 100% votes to really exceptional ones. 

You just have to set up a scheme that works for you and stick with it ;-)

I feel like I have been having a similar problem. I have been auto-voting a lot of accounts and leaving myself room for a few manual votes per day and for a long time that never went below or even near my 60% minimum. 

Lately, I stop all voting on Saturday and I might manually vote a couple of times, but it takes well into Monday to fully recharge. The nice thing is that if I drop around 10k SP in the account, that recharges a lot right away, but can't likely do that every single week, lol. 

Anyway, my point is that I also believe something is changing and taking a lot to recharge lately. 

Hmmm. Another thing is that I have been running my RC down to 40-60% everyday on claiming accounts. Could that have something to do with it?

Sometimes, I get mine as low as 20%  and then let it rest for two days then return ups after that till it goes down to 40% again but ... it does suck to be thin here, you can't post on a daily basis more so it sucks that you can't support original & effort filled posts full blast.

Interesting thoughts @acidyo, and in my opinion VP is important to consider, in conjunction to the impact of maximizing curation rewards. 

I view this a couple of different ways, and it's quite a cacophony of thoughts, on a daily basis for me. 

My main objective, is to help others with my vote. This being said, if I maximize my curation, I can maximize my reach of support to others more efficiently, because I grow more efficiently.  

Throw into the mix, a relatively low amount of SP *(in my case)*, and you are faced with the burden of having to vote higher percentages to maximize curation, for optimal growth, while limiting the reach of support! Yeah, really can be a little stressful at times to manage these two aspects efficiently. 

I try to maintain 85% as a baseline, but I'm rather impulsive at times, and if my mood is ultra pleasant, I'm known to blow it down to about 60% before the sandman comes lol. 

Sometimes it's a nice break on the thinker to just have those"I don't give a shit days" once in a while and not worry about the VP, *within reason*..

For me, it is quite easy to do since upvoting single comments usually do not make a big difference in my case because I am so small. I try to compensate/show my gratitude with replying and interacting more with the good people. You can even calculate the daily regen of your VP and don't go beyond that but it is really hard to do because I see a lot of valuable content these days.
