I see how users like azircon drive away other users and there's also the thing about Hive being about blogging which people cared for like 15 years ago. No, I don't think Hive can ever go back to it's ATH. Maybe 50 cents, if everything goes well. The only reason I even know about Hive is because of Splinterlands.

I never said consumption of posts didn't matter. I said comments don't matter and aren't a good measure on Hive. Voting is faster than a comment and a vote also gives you rewards yourself while a comment doesn't give any rewards. I still tried to comment sometimes but I gave more votes than comments.

3 days? I got like 15 days of posts DVed in the last month that I posted. And azircon said I was done with Hive and was never getting out of his DVs. My posts took at least 20 minutes to write and do the images and formating. The contest posts at least one hour. That's about 4 hours per week, for which I received about $13. Do you think it's fair that one person can take it all away? Alexvan has been getting DVs from him for years. And even before this, I had already received DVs from him at least twice. The first time I heard from him was when he DVed me without an explanation, I didn't even know he was a Splinterlands whale.

100s of accounts "doing good" as in getting breadcrumbs until someone doesn't like them and nukes them. I was ok getting those breadcrumbs as long as they weren't taken away. I never powered down and only used the liquid rewards. I even powered up a few times. DVs should be reserved for actual abuse, scams, etc. not simply "I don't like you" or "I don't like cats and you wrote about cats so you get a DV".
