That might’ve worked a decade ago, but now if law enforcement wants to follow the trail they probably will, and this Binance story just made that painfully obvious. Wasn’t even that they helped catch a guy running a drug site, it’s that someone thought they could run a $100 million business selling hard drugs online and somehow stay off the radar just because they were using crypto. That tells me two things. First, they underestimated how fast blockchain tracking has evolved and second, they probably didn’t think Binance would hand anything over. Big mistake. Binance didn’t just help, they traced wallets, locked millions in crypto, and helped ID the person behind the whole network. So forget the old myth that crypto makes you untouchable. It might hide you for a while, but the moment these financial intelligence teams lock in, the game changes.
