<center><strong><em>Aves en casa, cómo mantener a tus aves en casa sin que tengan la sensación de vivir en una cárcel de por vida, con esta propuesta sigo dando vida a las semanas de mascotas de @acropolis. </em></strong></center>

Me crie entre jilgueros y canarios en casa de mi abuela materna, las visitas a casa de la abuela tenían su propia banda sonora, de fondo la eterna emisora de radio con música española de época que incluía fandanguillos de Huelva, malagueñas y verdiales, pero el canto de las aves era un denominador común en su acogedora casa, no era el único lugar con aves en el hogar, mi madre siempre tuvo algún pequeño pájaro en casa, el trabajo de mantenerlos limpios, alimentarlos y verlos allí encerrados no les hacía cambiar de idea.

De ahí que tantos años después de aquella época me llamara la atención que mi querida tía volviera a encarcelar algun tipo de ave en casa, cuando me enteré no lograba entenderlo hasta visitarla, la historia era muy curiosa, **Visi** que así se llama y creo que así se escribe llegó a sus vidas una mañana con hambre y buscando refugio, es un lorito pequeño de preciosos colores al cual acogieron y alimentaron para dejarlo en libertad nuevamente, su reticencia a marcharse fue tal que finalmente tuvieron que comprar un lugar para que se sintiera protegida y con el tiempo todo tipo de accesorios para lo que significaría un hogar para el pájaro.

El mimo sugiere cierto compromiso con la mascota que a pesar de que suele tener cierta libertad a diario permanece en su jaula muchas horas, la verdad es que es donde más a gusto se siente, las puertas suele tenerlas abiertas salvo que haya visita en casa, cada mañana lo lleva a la zona Este del piso donde el sol más calienta en esas horas para a medio día llevarlo a la terraza del lado Oeste donde el sol permanece en invierno hasta poco más allá de las 4 de la tarde y en verano lo mantiene hasta casi las 8 de la tarde, posteriormente cuando comienza a refrescar lo lleva a una habitación donde enciende una pequeña estufa que mantiene encendida toda la noche y a la jaula le echa una manta por encima para que el pájaro descanse, así es la rutina diaria del cuidado de **Visi**.

> The pampering suggests a certain commitment to the pet that although it usually has some daily freedom, it remains in its kennel for many hours, the truth is that this is where it feels most at ease, the doors are usually kept open unless there are guests at home, every morning she takes it to the east side of the flat where the sun is the warmest during those hours and at midday she takes it to the terrace on the west side where the sun remains in winter until just after 4 pm and in summer she keeps it until almost 8 pm, later, when it starts to cool down she takes the bird into a room where she turns on a small electric cooker that she keeps on all night and she puts a blanket over the cage so that the bird can sleep, this is the daily routine of **Visi**'s care.

Con el tiempo se enamoraron de esta especie, tanto que compraron una pareja de Agapornis o inseparables como vulgarmente se conocen, pero claro comprar no es adoptar a quien voluntariamente llega a casa, el macho se fugó y la hembra se quedó y a los años hubo que sacrificarla por una complicación estomacal, así pués **Visi** sigue su larga y buena vida en casa.

>Over time they fell in love with this species, so much so that they bought a pair of Agapornis or inseparables as they are commonly known, but of course buying is not adopting someone who comes home voluntarily, the male ran away and the female stayed and after a few years had to be sacrificed due to a stomach complication, so **Visi** continues his long and good life at home.

Pero entiendan que la libertad de esta ave es tal que los baños se los da solo, suele pasear por toda la casa y a las visitas de confianza las acompaña en ocasiones, hay otras formas de alimentar, cuidar y educar a las aves de casa, no es necesario mantenerlas prisioneras de por vida pero en ese largo camino puede que alguna decida no compartir su suerte con usted y no por ello se de por vencida, si ama este tipo de mascotas denle una vida de calidad.</div><P/>

>But understand that the freedom of this bird is such that the baths are given alone, it usually walks around the house and sometimes accompanies trusted visitors, there are other ways to feed, care for and educate the birds at home, it is not necessary to keep them prisoners for life but in that long way some may decide not to share their fate with you and do not give up, if you love this kind of pets give them a quality life.
