Howdie actifitters, steemians, fitness enthusiasts .. and the world!

As we have promised around 2 weeks back, tonight we delivered. We are very proud to announce the first big move of actifit towards further gamification of our UX, via introducing major features which are aimed at bumping our user engagement, as well as bringing in more active members from outside Steem to Actifit & Steem.

It is our belief that some of the key aspects for people to join and continue using a platform is via engagement  potential, gamification, and rewards (not necessarily financial .. although it helps!).
Hence the reason we have been working hard during the last couple of months along those lines on introducing **the beginnings** of such aspects via Actifit.

#### Meet & Connect With Friends!
Although Steem is focused on finding content and potentially following others, yet we believe that in the fitness world, the motivation can come through the concept of further connectivity, and hence having "fitness friends". 
Having fitness friends can help bring you extra motivation for your fitness journey, but also can help lead the way to more rewards as you will note in our gamification part below.

Once you login to actifit.io, you will be faced with a popup similar to the above, which will suggest some friends based on the most recent 20 active users. This allows you to find and add friends.

You can revisit this screen and check your current friends and pending friendships via the top menu

Visiting a user's profile also allows you to add this person as a friend, accept their invite, or cancel their friendship or invite.

You can also see the number of friends a user has via visiting their profile, as well as 3 of their friends, if they have at least 3.

#### Market's Virtual Gadgets - ACTIFIT GAME ON!
As mentioned above, we believe gamification is a key aspect that keeps users interested and engaged. With a health focused app such as Actifit, this brings an additional wow and cool factor, especially to new comers, and particularly that the new "gadgets", in addition to bragging rights, can actually be used to earn more rewards.

We have just introduced **27 new virtual products on the market**, representing 9 different virtual gadgets, each with 3 levels. **Some of those gadgets will be locked, and need to be unlocked by meeting special requirements**. We will be introducing more gadgets and varieties down the road.

Virtual "Water bottles", "Sports drinks", "Running shoes",... to "Friend Boost" gadgets, all allow you (or your friend, or both) to earn more rewards.

You can only **purchase 1 unit of any available gadget**, and this gadget will **get consumed by every actifit report you post** that gets rewarded, until it gets completely depleted, then you can purchase another one.

**Once you buy a gadget, you will need to also ACTIVATE IT, otherwise it will not be functional yet.** Activating the gadget is what allows you to benefit from the boost it provides.

Those **gadgets come in limited amounts,** highlighted in the "available" part, so make sure to grab yours before they run out ! There will be regeneration threshold for those gadgets, which will be announced later.

Feel free to explore the gadgets, and if you have any special ideas or suggestions, feel free to throw them at us!

#### Notifications
We started introducing notifications with friendship requests, so that once you receive a request, or accept a friendship, such a notification will be sent to the relevant user.

Clicking the notification will actually mark it as read, and will lead you to the user's relevant profile to take action, if you so wish.

This is the beginning of our notifications concept, and we plan to introduce more features as we believe this is an essential aspect to a powerful UX.

P.S.: Please note we have done extensive work and testing to the features above, and as the features are quite complex there could be hidden issues. If you face any issues or find bugs, please do report them to us on discord.
P.P.S: We have also implemented some other UI changes to actifit.io, and will continuously do so. We did not highlight those changes as they will be clearly visible via the site.

_A kind reminder to all actifitters: some versions of esteem app still cause issues when used to edit your reports, via removing essential info Actifit uses to identify proper reports. This prevents related reports from receiving rewards.
Until this issue is officially fixed via the esteem team, we advise that you use other Steem interfaces for editing, including our own actifit.io, steemit, busy or others._

The amount of delegated SP has a large influence over not only the daily/weekly delegation reward, but also on the amount of rewards the actifitter receives on daily reports, as it constitutes a key element in **User Rank**.

Which is why being an Actifit delegator now has more influence on your rewards, coupled with number of AFIT tokens and other factors highlighted before.

Delegators share a max cap of 100K AFIT tokens according to their delegation amount, and also earn a 5% beneficiary reward from actifit posts' beneficiary earnings.

We are appreciative of more delegations to be able to better award actifitters and support our project, so thank you for doing that !

**When you are looking to increase your delegation, you need to use the  _new total amount_ as the delegation amount, and not only the increased amount. Otherwise only the new amount will be used, and the remaining amount will be undelegated.**
