#### Announcing FitOctober - "Bring in Fitbit Users" Contest
As many of you are aware, Actifit is the first crypto based fitness & activity tracker that integrated Fitbit as a source of activity data (in addition to our phone sensor tracking option), which has been enabling more than 10% of its daily users to track and earn simply by using their Fitbit tracker (and posting to Steem)
Our choice for Fitbit as the first integrated device was clear, Fitbit has more than 27 million active users for the year 2018 stats [source](https://www.fool.com/investing/2019/03/01/fitbit-added-22-million-active-users-last-year.aspx)

We want to tap into that beast of a user base, and start bringing them progressively to actifit (& Steem), and we figured one of the best ways is to actually launch a competition to do that!

##### FitOctober: Competition Timeframe & Target
We are excited to announce this new competition to our amazing Actifit community, and Steem community at large.
The competition will **run for a month, during the whole month of October.** The mission is to **let any Fitbit user you know (or don't know) about how they can auto-leverage their Fitbit to tap into crypto, join fitness oriented crypto community, and get rewarded for being healthy**.

##### Competition Rules & Rewards
- Signup the new Fitbit user for free via your [referral link](https://actifit.io/referrals) (you need to login to find it) while using the promo code **FITOCTOBER** on the signup page.
- For every Fitbit user you sign up and who creates at least 2 activity reports, you will be rewarded with 10 STEEM + 100 AFIT reward. The Fitbit user will also receive an extra reward for his reports amounting to 100 AFIT after his second report during the contest time.
- The rewards will apply to the first 100 Fitbit users to reach this milestone (max rewards 1,000 STEEM + 20,000 AFIT)
- Rewards will be distributed at the end of the competition.

##### Social Media Promotion
To give the competition a bit more hype, we want to start pushing #FitOctober #Actifit & #Steem on social media during the contest!

#### Another Weekend - SteemFest Awaits You!
Launching a new competition DOES NOT MEAN stopping existing ones! 

As you're probably aware, we are already running a contest alongside @Blocktrades, with the ideation by @anomadsoul

#### AFIT Token Stats & STEEM Payouts

During last week, our actifitters and delegators piled up more tokens. To date, Actifit has distributed more than 50 Million AFIT tokens, to 53K+ token holders and 158K+ reported activity.

We also sent out today our weekly STEEM delegators share, **which went out to 600 active delegators**, with a total amount of 232.568 STEEM.

P.S.: STEEM amount includes both SP and STEEM rewards for delegators, whereby each delegator receives liquid STEEM as a total for both amounts.

Until this issue is officially fixed via the esteem team, we advise that you use other Steem interfaces for editing, including our own actifit.io, steemit, busy or others._

The amount of delegated SP has a large influence over not only the daily/weekly delegation reward, but also on the amount of rewards the actifitter receives on daily reports, as it constitutes a key element in **User Rank**.

Which is why being an Actifit delegator now has more influence on your rewards, coupled with number of AFIT tokens and other factors highlighted before.

Delegators share a max cap of 100K AFIT tokens according to their delegation amount, and also earn a 5% beneficiary reward from actifit posts' beneficiary earnings.

We are appreciative of more delegations to be able to better award actifitters and support our project, so thank you for doing that !

**When you are looking to increase your delegation, you need to use the  _new total amount_ as the delegation amount, and not only the increased amount. Otherwise only the new amount will be used, and the remaining amount will be undelegated.**
