No sé ustedes que me leen, pero quien escribe estas líneas, no sirve para ser de esos que viven detrás de los jefes, en lo que llamamos vulgarmente el Venezuela de jala mecate, por no usar la frase más popular y folclórica, hace ya un mes o algo más llego una nueva Auditora Interna y eso ha provocado el que unos compañeros muestren un lado un poco desagradable para mí, y eso me tiene incómoda y hasta asombrada.

 

De la misma manera, quiero señalar que desde que recuerdo, no soy ese tipo de persona que sirve para rendirle pleitesía a nadie, una sola vez me acerque a una jefa directa creyendo que podría hacerlo, ya que teníamos cierta confianza y descubrí que tras sentarse en esa silla solo le interesaba conservar ese puesto y era capaz de lanzar a todos por un barranco sin pensarlo para mantenerse en ese puesto.

Ahora bien, desde la llegada de esta nueva Auditora he notado en algunos compañeros una actitud excesivamente complaciente y en ocasiones hasta arrastrada, aunque suene un poco feo, es cierto que trabajar en la administración pública, dependiendo de la Institución implica algunas veces trabajar con las uñas, pero eso no implica desde mi visión aceptar ciertas labores y hasta situaciones impuestas.

 

 

Lo primero que he notado en algunos compañeros es que aceptan todo, sin aclarar lo que esta nueva Auditora plantea, así este fuera de lo que es la legalidad, cosa que yo como abogada y por mi manera de ser no acepto y segundo asumen labores, que no les son propias por agradar y simplemente yo no nací ese día.

El primer problema ocurrió cuando pretendían obligarnos a participar en lo que llamaron el gaitazo y creo que el gran error estuvo en la manera como se redactó el memo de invitación a la actividad, pues entre las primeras líneas decía que era de carácter ineludible, por favor. Me pueden exigir en lo relativo a mi trabajo, horario, cumplimento de asignaciones, vestimenta, en fin, lo relativo a ese contrato de servicio que se acordó entre las partes, pero el participar en una actividad de ese tipo que no está para nada relacionada con mi trabajo, presumo que la Auditora al ser nueva en la institución y venir de la empresa privada ve las cosas desde otra óptica y pretendía obligarnos a participar a todos.

 

Por consiguiente, como se imaginaran esta servidora y otra colega le dijimos con todas las letras que no y eso le incomodo un poco, pero no voy a decir a todo que sí como si yo fuera una foca amaestrada, luego vino el acto de entrega de condecoraciones por años de servicio, en el que también pidió que asistiéramos no sé cuántos compañeros y los homenajeados, pero la manera como lo solicito parecía la de una maestra de escuela que quiere obligar a los niños a realizar una actividad y para rematar de una manera desagradable por el grupo de WhatsApp de la oficina, en el que inclusive colocaba hasta los minutos que espera para que se ofrecieran de manera voluntaria, eso me molesto mucho y más al ver que me eligió para asistir.

Aquí es donde viene el gran choque, pues fui su oficina e intente explicarle que la asistencia a ese acto nunca ha sido obligatoria ni siquiera para los homenajeados menos para el resto del personal y ella insistía, y cuando le di un no fuerte por respuesta se molestó de una manera horrible, al día siguiente ni los buenos días me quería dar.

 

Pero, como ya mencioné, lo que más me sorprende es ver como algunos de mis compañeros de trabajo, le dicen sí a todo y aceptan hasta hacer labores de mensajería, ya que actualmente no tenemos mensajero, pues los anteriores jefes decidieron cambiarlos, yo comprendo que uno no va a tener una eterna negatividad a todo, pero creo que lo correcto es asesorar de manera correcta a esta Licenciada y hacerle conocer las necesidades de la oficina, no decir que sí a todo por caer bien y ser vistos con buenos ojos.

 

En resumen, yo no sirvo para andar de jala mecate, ni vine al mundo para caerle bien a todos, debo cumplir con mis labores, porque para eso me contrataron, pero no sirvo para jalar, los jefes van y vienen, pero los compañeros quedamos y he visto a más de uno quedar muy mal parado por andar de complacientes con los jefes, así que yo me limito a mi trabajo y si puedo colaborar en algunos aspectos, con mucho gusto lo hago, pero no aceptaré con los ojos cerrados todo lo que dicen o piden y menos si no son labores o funciones inherentes a mi cargo, antes de retirar les recuerdo que están en toda la libertad de compartir conmigo sus opiniones, ya sean que han vivido una experiencia de este tipo o no, siempre es bueno escuchar las opiniones de alguien qué está viendo las cosas desde afuera.

I don't know about you who read me, but the person who writes these lines is not the kind of person who lives behind the bosses, in what we vulgarly call the Venezuela de jala mecate, not to use the more popular and folkloric phrase, a month or so ago a new Internal Auditor arrived and that has caused some colleagues to show a somewhat unpleasant side to me, and that makes me uncomfortable and even astonished.

 

In the same way, I want to point out that for as long as I can remember, I am not that kind of person who serves to pay obeisance to anyone, only once I approached a direct boss believing that I could do it, since we had some confidence and I discovered that after sitting in that chair she was only interested in keeping that position and was able to throw everyone over a cliff without thinking about it to stay in that position.

 

Now, since the arrival of this new Auditor I have noticed in some colleagues an excessively complacent attitude and sometimes even dragged, although it sounds a little ugly, it is true that working in public administration, depending on the Institution sometimes involves working with nails, but that does not imply from my vision to accept certain tasks and even imposed situations.

 

 

The first thing I have noticed in some colleagues is that they accept everything, without clarifying what this new Auditor raises, even if it is outside of what is legality, something that I as a lawyer and my way of being I do not accept and secondly they assume tasks, which are not their own to please and I simply was not born that day.

 

The first problem occurred when they tried to force us to participate in what they called the "gaitazo" and I think the big mistake was in the way the memo of invitation to the activity was written, because among the first lines it said that it was unavoidable, please. I can be demanded regarding my work, schedule, fulfillment of assignments, clothing, in short, what is related to the service contract that was agreed between the parties, but participating in an activity of this type that is not at all related to my work, I presume that the Auditor, being new to the institution and coming from the private company, sees things from another perspective and intended to force us all to participate.

 

Consequently, as you can imagine, this servant and another colleague told her with all the letters that no and that made her a little uncomfortable, but I am not going to say yes to everything as if I were a trained seal, then came the ceremony of awards for years of service, in which she also asked that we attend I do not know how many colleagues and the honorees, but the way he requested it seemed like a school teacher who wants to force children to perform an activity and to top it off in an unpleasant way through the WhatsApp group of the office, in which he even placed even the minutes he waits for them to volunteer, that bothered me a lot and more when I saw that he chose me to attend.

 

This is where the big shock comes, because I went to her office and tried to explain to her that attendance to this event has never been mandatory even for the honorees, less for the rest of the staff and she insisted, and when I gave her a strong no for an answer she got upset in a horrible way, the next day she didn't even want to say good morning to me.

 

But, as I already mentioned, what surprises me the most is to see how some of my coworkers say yes to everything and even accept to do messenger work, since we currently have no messenger, as the previous bosses decided to change them, I understand that one will not have an eternal negativity to everything, but I think the right thing to do is to advise correctly to this graduate and let her know the needs of the office, not to say yes to everything to be liked and be seen in a good light.

 

In short, I am not good to be a rope puller, nor did I come to the world to be liked by everyone, I must fulfill my duties, because that is what I was hired for, but I am not good to pull, bosses come and go, but the colleagues are left and I have seen more than one of them get a bad impression by being complacent with the bosses, so I limit myself to my work and if I can collaborate in some aspects, I will gladly do it, but I do not want to do it, I will gladly do it, but I will not accept with my eyes closed everything they say or ask and even less if they are not tasks or functions inherent to my position, before retiring I remind you that you are free to share with me your opinions, whether you have lived an experience of this type or not, it is always good to hear the opinions of someone who is seeing things from the outside.
