La Vaquita Marina (en critico peligro de extinción)/ The Vaquita Marine (critically endangered) (ESP/ENG)

No es un secreto para nadie, mi amor por los animales, la mayoría al hablar de animales o escucharlos mencionar, piensa en amínales de compañía en perros o gatos o tal vez en algún otro, muy pocos piensan o recuerdan los animales marinos, que también forman parte de los ecosistemas existentes en el planeta y que se han visto tan afectados debido a la contaminación de las aguas, los cambios de las temperaturas en sus corrientes y tantos otros daños causados por la pesca indiscriminada o de arrastre, sin contar la ilegal, también es cierto que existen algunos animales marinos mas conocidos que otros,  por ejemplo los delfines son conocidos, admirados y han sido protagonistas, de series y películas, igual las ballenas azules son muy conocidas, pero existen otras especias menos conocidas y es peligro de extinción y hoy es el día de una de ellas y deseo dedicarle mi publicación.

La vaquita marina es una marsopa que se encuentra en gran peligro de extinción, de hecho, al escribir estas líneas, luego de buscar información sobre este simpático animal me encuentro llena de tristeza, ya que está muy próximo a desaparecer por completo de la faz del planeta.

La vaquita marina, es el mamífero mas grande del Golfo de California y como todo animal o ser vivo tiene una función dentro de su ecosistema y el equilibrio del planeta su desaparición, por lo tanto traería un desequilibrio, ahora la pregunta lógica ¿a qué se debe que esté en peligro de extinción?

Lo primero, la pesca de totoaba, que son muy cotizados en China, ya que, en la medicina tradicional de este país, se cree que los buches de totoaba secos son los responsables de cosas increíbles, creen que poseen propiedades curativas casi milagrosas, lo que hace que su valor en el mercado crezca y se paguen sumas desde 5,000 a 8.000 pudiendo llegar hasta los 100.000 dólares, por ello a este pez se le llama "la cocaína del mar".

De la misa manera, resulta que la pesca de este pez afecta a la vaquita marina, quien fue descubierta a penas en 1958, estos cetáceos quedan atrapados en las redes y al no poder salir a respirar mueren.

Agregado a lo anterior, la vaquita marina, tiene una tasa baja de reproducción, se reproducen cada dos años, su preñez dura de 10 y 11 meses y dan a luz una cría.

Estos animalitos tan singulares tienen las siguientes características:
  
> …el dorso es gris oscuro, en los laterales la coloración es gris más claro y el vientre es blanco. Alrededor de los ojos y los labios tiene parches negros. Es un animal robusto que llega a pesar 55 kg en el caso de las hembras adultas. Estas llegan a medir 1,5 metros, un poco más que sus contrapartes machos. Los dientes tienen "forma de espátula", según explica el Gobierno. El hocico es corto y la cabeza redondeada.

Lo que más, ha llamado mi atención, es que en los artículos web coinciden en que solo quedan 10 ejemplares de Vaquitas marinas, esto solo nos hace pensar que en cualquier momento estos animalitos dejaran de existir, cosa que no solo es triste, sino también prejudicial para el planeta, ya que en el vivimos todos y creo que todavía no nos hemos percatado de que este esta en un delicado equilibrio y que cualquier cambio afecta a todos los que en el habitamos.

The vaquita is a porpoise that is in great danger of extinction, in fact, as I write these lines, after searching for information about this cute animal I find myself full of sadness, as it is very close to disappear completely from the face of the planet.

The vaquita is the largest mammal in the Gulf of California and like every animal or living being has a function within its ecosystem and the balance of the planet, its disappearance would bring an imbalance, now the logical question is why it is in danger of extinction?

First of all, totoaba fishing, which are highly valued in China, since, in the traditional medicine of this country, it is believed that dried totoaba mouths are responsible for incredible things, they believe that they have healing properties almost miraculous, which makes its value in the market grows and sums are paid from 5,000 to 8,000 and can reach up to 100,000 dollars, so this fish is called "the cocaine of the sea".

In the same way, it turns out that the fishing of this fish affects the vaquita, which was only discovered in 1958, these cetaceans are trapped in the nets and when they cannot get out to breathe, they die.

In addition to the above, the vaquita has a low reproduction rate, they reproduce every two years, their pregnancy lasts between 10 and 11 months and they give birth to a calf.

These unique animals have the following characteristics:

What has caught my attention, is that in the web articles agree that there are only 10 specimens of Vaquitas marinas, this only makes us think that at any time these animals will cease to exist, which is not only sad, but also harmful to the planet, since we all live in it and I think we have not yet realized that this is in a delicate balance and that any change affects all who live in it.

Gracias por tan lindas palabras @hive-154473, me estimulan a continuar relazando publicaciones sobre la fauna y naturaleza marina , que es ignorada y olvidada por muchos, este viernes es el Día mundial de las Ballenas y Delfines, espero poder realizar otra publicación sobre estos bellos y simbólicos ejemplares de la fauna marina.

Por otro lado les extiendo una invitación a mi programa "Patas Arriba" se trasmite todos los viernes en la noche a las 7 pm hora de Venezuela en el servidor de Discord https://discord.gg/ de @laradio, allí me reúno con otros, para compartir información del mundo animal, por ahora me he centrado en animales de compañía, pero hay que ir mas allá.

Un Abrazo grande y creo que podríamos crear una iniciativa o concurso que anime a las personas a publicar en esta gran comunidad y de ese modo tendrían que investigar y conocen de los ecosistemas marinos.

Una verdadera pena, a saber cuantos animales tan espectaculares como este comparten el estado de peligro de extinción crítico por tener una distribución geográfica tan pequeña y ademas sometida por el humano a condiciones desfavorables... Me gusta mucho tu post, un tema inusual y bien investigado.
