Dear Sir or Madam:


The purpose of this letter is to make you aware that if you are reading this letter, it means that someone has become the new owner of the painting where a beautiful woman appears drinking coffee, I must inform you that I anxiously hope that you are a person of much mettle and character, for you have before you a noble task.

The woman you see in the painting before you is my mother, her name is Ludovica, yes as you have read I speak in the present tense, since she is trapped in that painting, by the magic of a powerful sorcerer who fell in love with her and knowing that he could never have her, trapped her in that painting, when I was about to turn 18 years old.

In this my time, although I tried in every possible way to free my mother, it was impossible, so as my last days on earth are approaching, I write these lines wishing that whoever finds them will have pity on my mother and her daughter who gave everything to free her from her prison, so that you, who kindly reads these lines will have a better idea of what happened, which I share with you below.




As you can see in the picture, my mother was a very beautiful woman and I loved no one more than my father, who died when I was 14 years old, although many men wanted her after she was widowed, she did not want to remarry, but of all those men who wanted to marry her the worst of all was Alfonzo, who seemed more than a man in love, someone obsessed with my mother, because he followed her everywhere and did everything he could to have her, But when he saw that he could not have her, his obsession and misnamed love turned into hate and with a spell he locked her in that painting, he did it using as bait my mother's favorite drink, coffee, Alfonzo took advantage of my mother's love for coffee and impregnated the cup with a potion he had prepared and after drinking it she was trapped in a canvas in front of your eyes, which was hidden in a place in the living room.

Thus I have spent years looking for solutions to free her and I have only known that some person with a pure heart, who is not part of the family and who loves coffee as much as mother, will be able to free her, but only if she really wanted to do it and for that she will have to decipher the code that is hidden in the painting, which I have not been able to find so far, so I will descend to the grave with the hope that someday someone will take pity on my beautiful mother and will keep in mind the effort of this daughter to free her from her prison.



I pray that you, who read this letter, will be the right person for this task and that in your present time the advances and discoveries will facilitate and help you to find the way to take the final steps for the liberation of my mother, from what has been her prison for a long time.

This has all the ingredients to be like a fantasy movie based in the early 19th century, in black and white...in  a village with people wearing those hats and long coats! Has a very vintage feel to the whole story!

At first I thought of mentioning a year or century, then I thought of leaving it to the imagination to see if anyone could place it in a specific century and look you have pointed them out in your commentary and I love that.
