Hola, amigos de #hivefood, el invierno se acerca y el clima se siente cada vez más frío, típico del último mes del año, el cual justamente hoy da inicio. Es por ello que el día de hoy traigo la receta de una bebida deliciosa, perfecta para disfrutar en invierno.

En publicaciones anteriores ([Atole de arroz con leche](https://peakd.com/hive-100067/@adalathu/atole-de-arroz-con-leche-or-receta-esp-eng) y [atole de guayaba](https://peakd.com/hive-100067/@adalathu/atole-de-guayaba-or-guava)) les he comentado que en México la preparación y el consumo de atoles están ampliamente extendidos, sobre todo en la zona centro del país, donde forma parte de las cenas y los desayunos de muchas personas al ser una bebida que brinda cierta saciedad y confort en los meses más fríos del año.

Para mí los atoles fueron todo un descubrimiento, sobre todo cuando conocí al señor que los vendía frente al Estadio Azul, donde trabajé por muchos años, fue gracias a él que aprendí que es posible prepararlos de cualquier cosa y no solamente el típico champurrado hecho de chocolate y masa de maíz.

Fue así como el atole de galleta maría y el de arroz con leche se convirtieron en mis favoritos, el segundo comencé a cocinarlo desde hace mucho tiempo, ya que la preparación es prácticamente la misma que la de un arroz con leche tradicional, pero con el primero, mi favorito, la historia fue bastante diferente, al ver que en casi ningún lugar lo vendían mi cabeza hizo la suposición de que no debía ser muy fácil de preparar y por eso casi nadie lo hacía.

Así pasé mucho tiempo, hasta que hace un par de semanas me decidí a prepararlo y para mi sorpresa no solamente fue bastante fácil de cocinar, sino que quedó simplemente ESPECTACULAR, quedé enamorada tanto de la receta como del resultado, tanto así que podría tomarlo todo el día todos los días, pero eso no sería muy bueno para mi salud.

Esa es justamente la receta que quiero compartir con ustedes el día de hoy, es relativamente sencilla, pero como todos los atoles lleva su tiempo y su dedicación, así que si deciden prepararlo tómense su tiempo para disfrutar no solo del resultado, sino también de la preparación.

#### <center>INGREDIENTES</center>

-	1 litro de leche.
-	1 lata de leche evaporada (360 gr).
-	1 paquete de galletas maría (144 gr).
-	1 raja de canela.
-	Leche condensada al gusto.

#### <center>PREPARACIÓN</center>

**1.-** Ponemos a calentar tres tazas de leche y la ramita de canela a fuego medio-bajo.

**2.-** En un recipiente grande mezclamos la taza de leche restante y la lata de leche evaporada, a esta mezcla vamos agregando poco a poco las galletas marías y las dejamos remojando hasta que se deshagan fácilmente.

**3.-** Una vez que las galletas estén ablandadas, las pasamos a la licuadora y las procesamos hasta obtener una mezcla homogénea.

**4.-** Cuando la leche esté a punto de llegar al hervor, le agregamos la mezcla que licuamos de la galleta con la taza de leche y la leche evaporada, mezclamos bien y seguimos cocinando a fuego medio-bajo.

**5.-** Endulzamos al gusto con la leche condensada y cocinamos el atole por aproximadamente 20 minutos o hasta que alcance la consistencia deseada, recuerden que a medida que se enfría se va haciendo más espeso.

*En este paso es importante que jamás dejen de mezclar el atole porque si no se les van a formar grumos, se les va a pegar de la parte de abajo de la olla o se les puede desbordar el atole.*

**6.-** Apagamos, dejamos enfriar un poco y servimos.

Como pueden ver, el proceso es casi el mismo que para la mayoría de los atoles, con la excepción de que este no necesita fécula de maíz para espesar, ya que con la misma galleta agarra la consistencia que debe tener un atole.

Definitivamente, esta es una receta que espero repetir bastante, porque no solamente es deliciosa, sino que es económica, sencilla de preparar y rinde muchísimo. Espero que aprovechen la época decembrina para probar esta deliciosa bebida.

Hello, #hivefood friends, winter is approaching and the weather feels colder and colder, typical of the last month of the year, which starts today. That's why today I bring you the recipe for a delicious drink, perfect to enjoy in winter.

In previous posts ([Atole de arroz con leche](https://peakd.com/hive-100067/@adalathu/atole-de-arroz-con-leche-or-receta-esp-eng) y [atole de guayaba](https://peakd.com/hive-100067/@adalathu/atole-de-guayaba-or-guava)) I have told you that in Mexico the preparation and consumption of atoles are widely spread, especially in the central part of the country, where it is part of the dinners and breakfasts of many people as it is a drink that provides some satiety and comfort in the coldest months of the year.

For me atoles were a discovery, especially when I met the man who sold them in front of the Estadio Azul, where I worked for many years. It was thanks to him that I learned that it is possible to prepare them with anything and not only the typical champurrado made of chocolate and corn dough.

The second one I started to cook a long time ago, since the preparation is practically the same as the traditional rice pudding, but with the first one, my favorite, the story was quite different, when I saw that almost no place sold it, my head made the assumption that it must not be very easy to prepare and that's why almost nobody made it.

So I spent a long time, until a couple of weeks ago I decided to prepare it and to my surprise it was not only quite easy to cook, but it was simply SPECTACULAR, I was in love with both the recipe and the result, so much so that I could drink it all day every day, but that would not be very good for my health.

That is exactly the recipe I want to share with you today, it is relatively simple, but like all atoles it takes time and dedication, so if you decide to prepare it take your time to enjoy not only the result, but also the preparation.

- 1 liter of milk.
- 1 can of evaporated milk (360 gr).
- 1 package of maria cookies (144 gr).
- 1 cinnamon stick.
- Condensed milk to taste.

#### <center>PREPARATION</center>

**1.-** Heat three cups of milk and the cinnamon stick over medium-low heat.

**2.-** In a large bowl, mix the remaining cup of milk and the can of evaporated milk. To this mixture, add the maria crackers little by little and let them soak until they break apart easily.

**3.-** Once the cookies are softened, we pass them to the blender and process them until we obtain a homogeneous mixture.

**4.-** When the milk is about to boil, add the blended cookie mixture with the cup of milk and the evaporated milk, mix well and continue cooking over medium-low heat.

**5.-** Sweeten to taste with the condensed milk and cook the atole for approximately 20 minutes or until it reaches the desired consistency, remember that as it cools it gets thicker.

*In this step it is important that you never stop mixing the atole because otherwise lumps will form, it will stick to the bottom of the pot or the atole may overflow.*

**6.-** Turn off, let it cool a little and serve.

As you can see, the process is almost the same as for most atoles, with the exception that this one does not need cornstarch to thicken it, since the same cookie gives it the consistency that an atole should have.

El famoso atole de galleta María que habías comentado por el grupo. Se ve de un bueno. La verdad que mucho más interesante que los atoles que se comen por aquí. La avena es pasable pero al fororo le perdí el gusto hace años. Veo eso y pienso que mi chocolate es casi que un atol. Claro, si no supiera que es el estilo italiano de hacer chocolate caliente.

Me gusta la idea de endulzar con leche condensada. Aparte que eso agrega más al sabor. Lo que si parece un poco complicado de esto es el tema de estar 20 minutos dándole paleta a la preparación. Supongo que lo bueno cuesta trabajo.

Voy a guardar esta receta para ver si lo hago algún día. Después de todo, no tiene ingredientes muy difíciles de conseguir.

Ah, se ve delicioso. Provoca tomarse como tres pocillos de atol...

...o la olla entera. 😂

Oye, pasa la receta de tu chocolate a ver si se parece o no a un atole 👀. Aquí el que se prepara con chocolate se llama champurrado y no se usa fécula de maíz para espesar sino masa de maíz, la misma con la que se preparan las tortillas, suena raro pero el resultado es muy rico, a pesar de ser de chocolate.

Después del incidente que te conté terminé tomando como un litro 👀🤣

Bueno, aquí sí se usa almidón para espesar, pero es que el maíz tiene algo de eso. Lo que tiene de diferente en el sabor es que la masa esa es con cal. La que aquí se utiliza para las "arepas peladas"

Mi abuela le encanta los atole ya hace algún tiempo le hice uno de galleta María pero use azúcar, la leche condensada le debe dar más cremosidad y un toque diferente gracias por tu receta seguro que la pongo en práctica.
