I remember someone asking Chris Roberts that almost a year ago. He said that he had not considered it but there is no reason it could not be implemented when the game launches . He also said he was not going to commit any resources to  changing the in-game currency during early development.  I would like to ask him that question again now that BTC is picking up steam again.   If you think about it we should be using Satoshi's by then. (;
