Hello Steemit Community,
I wish you had been around when i was growing up. so many things to write about but few opportunities to do so. I am an IT generalist who has been in the industry for the last 25 years. i enjoy technology and literature and of course reading. I have this strange fascination for writing about technology in a more humane fashion. During my years on the IT tour i have been a developer, architect, CTO, CEO, general dogsbody and everything else in between. I spent a few years in the US doing some interesting work for some fascinating companies and then moved back to India because i love being here. I am married with a 10 year old daughter who keeps me on my toes most of the time! i love sports and nature.

in all my years of working i have picked up various nuggets of information that have proved invaluable for my work and my personal life as well. i cut my teeth on operating systems, specialized in file systems and data storage and eventually graduated to programming on Ruby On Rails. i love computer languges and functional programming seems to sit easier on my brain. I have to admit that my initial love for C never died out and i still find myself writing some C accelerators for Ruby!

I was part of teams that built the very first file serving appliances and the very first storage area network roll outs. i have worked with tape libraries and storage arrays building solutions for the very first hosted data centers. i have enjoyed the cloud evolution and infrastructure virtualization which go hand in hand ( or is it arm in arm!). i have seen a lot and i am dying to see more. Currently i am on the blockchain/business intelligence bandwagon. 

I find the concept of steemit fascinating because most of my writing in the past has been driven by a corporations needs. a community is quite different and tends to bring out the originality of the creation because of the cooperative atmosphere that exists. i look forward to being a part of the community and hope that i add value. I love to write stories and poems as well.
