Ask Leo - Does the rich investment in the economy really make a difference?

The world is a place of extremes, and this is especially true when it comes to the economy. On the one hand we have the rich and powerful investing in the economy, while on the other hand the poor live in poverty and try to make ends meet.

There is much debate about whether the wealthy actually contribute to the economy. Some people argue that the wealthy only use their money to benefit themselves and not contribute to the economy. Others claim that the rich invest in the economy and make a difference, but for me it is so hard to say that the rich are not taking a role in this economy.


To answer the above question, we must first understand what economics is. The economy is the system of production, distribution and consumption in our society. I see it as the process of providing goods and services that meet human needs and wants. In fact, economics is what enables people to earn a living. For example, if we took the economy out of a society, there would be no work for anyone. So are the wealthy investing in the economy really making a difference? Yes it does! The rich who invest in the economy create jobs and help produce goods and services. The rich who invest in the economy also ensure a more stable and sustainable economy. The rich who invest in the economy create a fairer and better economy.


Despite the rich investing in the economy, it doesn't matter to the economy, some say. The rich may invest more in the economy, but others still earn the same amount. However, this effect of rich on the economy can be positive or negative base on your own understanding. I know many might still reconsider that they are having a positive impact on the economy by employing thousands of people, but it is for their own benefit to make money.


I don't see it that way, if I want to use Leofinance as a good example here. I will use @khaleelkazi as a rich man in our economy, he invested in many projects not to make money but to help many people grow financially here on leoverse and I greatly appreciate his efforts.
