INTRODUCTION
Like the emergence of many technologies in the world, the emergence of digital photography can be traced to the time when the Soviet Union and the United State of America were competing for supremacy in the outer space so as to be the first country in the world to have a man in the moon.  Digital photography can be referred to as a type of photography which uses cameras containing the assemblage of electronic photodetectors in showing images focused by a lens, as different from an exposure on photographic film. These type of images are said to be digital because they are stored as files on a computer for further digital processing. 

Since the emergence of the internet, marketing of photography has taken a new dimension. This is basically referred to as the stock photography marketing. One of the most important components of marketing is stock photography and it is also very crucial to captivate customers in an advertisement. Stock photography is a great way for photographers to make money by commercializing their photos to businesses worldwide. As beneficial as stock photography marketplace is, photographers using it are also faced with challenges. The challenge that is of greatest concern to photographers is the higher fees charged in the long-run by marketplaces. Even though this is as a result of a lower growth rate of the marketplace, this reduces the gains of the photographers and enriches the middlemen who are the marketplace owners.
