The modern world measures happiness according the human wealth, but is there a connection between things or even wealth can be a source of frustration and depression?
This question has preoccupied many researchers around the world for decades, and the answer will never be absolute because this issue is individual.

<strong>The connection between money and life expectancy</strong>

As we said, this question has no clear answer, so let's check the 'dry' data about life-facts. 
There is no doubt about the huge difference between the life expectancy in the western world and the Third-world countries but, what can be the real reason for the difference?
There are several factors that influence the statistics of life expectancy but none of them yells about the life-quality and happiness of the local population.
- Vaccines: when it seems like many diseases have disappeared from the world, those are still a very significant cause of death among the population of the Third-World countries. 
- Food: It is true that the global situation has improved and today less than one percent of the world's population is indeed starving (According to World Hunger Statistics by the UN)but, the quality of food is also a significant factor in longer life expectancy. In the US for example, we can find that in many cases, in the poor areas there are more fat & unhealthy people (percentage wise) because the cheap food is characterized by a large amount of oil and high cholesterol.
- Medicine: More people in the Western world are 'held' alive but in fact, the brain or the body is not functioning at all but the statistics say the person is still alive. 
- A high percentage of depression: There are many causes of depression in the western world, such as many hours of work, social networks and an endless race after the next purchase. 

There are so many factors that can change the numbers but, the question that we should always ask ourselves: Am I happy and enjoy my life? the answer isn't related to the bank account, think about it.
