Wooden models of ships from the journey of Christopher Columbus

### My dad a few years ago was very interested in modeling, built two models of ships from the journey of Christopher Columbus, the third model stands unfinished - is fully prepared for rc.

##### All wooden elements made of firework strips or slats of fruit baskets.
Its purpose was to use recycled materials when building ships.

The tool used is a driller, a knife, sandpaper.

As far as projects are concerned, he searched for as close as possible to the original sketches or plans, and then recalculated each element on a smaller scale.
  
### - The first ship is "Santa Maria"
"Santa Maria" was a small Carrack, about 21 meters long and was the flagship of the first expedition.

#### All the mechanical elements of the sail-pulling pulleys are fully functional.

### - This barrier is made from ice cream sticks. The rungs were carved with a scissors and sandpaper.

### - The second model is "Nina"
"Nina" is a caravel. This model was a test object, dad tested the way of hull seal on it.

The boat floats on the water, it doesn't leak.

### The cannon was welded with a drill.

## - The third model is once again "Santa Maria"
However, this version is fully sealed, loaded to keep the balance on the water.

And its interior is prepared for RC.
Unfortunately, it was not finished.

### In this photo you can see structures based on what each of the ships. It was modeled on the real construction of the naval vessels of that time.

### Also a wooden bicycle was built
Unfortunately the bike is not finished yet.
