It's difficult to really add to that amazing outline, however, I do agree that perception and interpretation, perhaps even your attitude has a lot to do with our daily lives. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Life reflects nature. You plant your seed, you cultivate, you harvest. Luck would mean you plant your seed then go to harvest. But I would say there's bad luck sometimes.... Sometimes you do everything right and the hailstorm flattens everything. But if you do nothing you have a 0% chance of succeeding. I reflect on Jim Rohn a lot. What he would say about this would be, "you either have to get good at planting in the spring or begging in the fall." You bring so much value here. THANK YOU.

I'm hardworking, but inasmuch as I work extremely hard to reach where I want to be in life, I can't rule out the fact that I've been lucky most times. 

First of all, I'm lucky to come across the opportunities that I've come across. I'm lucky to meet the people who have in one way or the other helped me and introduced me to new ventures. That much about me is out of sheer luck. 

you'd have to admit that no matter what, Atleast not everyone is lucky to have encountered the opportunity you did. That is luck. 
The part where you strive to succeed is hard work. So I feel it's a combination of both.
