**Today a Boy Named Peter sent me an email, in the mail he complained about issues regarding his study, here are his complains :**

“Hello, I am a sixteen year old boy, studying at the classical high school. I have a small problem, but sometimes it makes me despair. 
I'm smart enough, but studying depresses me. I can not stand sitting on books, even though my school requires a good amount of study. Despite this I always manage to be promoted without debt, because I have good attention spans and lessons.

I open the books and inexorably end up banging my head over it. The past year has been saved by the miraculous help of my friends who have offered to study together several times. But I can not depend only on them. I spend hours in the cazzeggio and I regret a lot for not being able to dedicate at least one hour to what is my duty: study. To say, also that the high school is the only school that interests me and that I often find myself amazed not to say in love with the humanities ... Paradoxically I like studying, but I can not study! Thanks so much. (Peter).”

“The ability to study effectively depends on a number of factors: what we are studying and how we study it can, for example, have a lot to do. In some cases the difficulty of staying on the books depends, for example, on the material that is not very interesting for us or that we choose a study mode that does not really do much for us. In your case the first variable does not seem to be present, as it states that the classical high school followed is "the only school" that interests you and that you are "in love" with some subjects; what happens then? Why do you seem to lose interest precisely for what interests you most? 
And again: what happens? Did you talk to anyone?
Regarding the second variable (the mode of study), it seems to me very positive to have found an effective one: group study. Some love to study alone, others only succeed in company. If you have friends in this sense, there should be nothing wrong. What worries you about this mode? How did you feel it as a sort of "addiction"?

However, another important variable should be considered: the emotional experience of the moment and the situations (stressful or difficult) that are going through and which inevitably affect the capacity for attention and study. You are not referring to these, but it is not clear to me whether you do not do it because you have not given it the right emphasis or you are simply living a serene period of your life ...

Finally, I would like to stress that distraction also has a meaning, a function, a meaning. Sometimes we are distracted because the thought flies elsewhere, other times because it is paradoxically the possibility of resting the head and, indirectly, the "belly". What it means to get distracted is entirely personal, but it would be important in my opinion for you to think about it to better understand this difficulty that you describe.”
