A day on the links - by @thedogekid

# This past weekend I played golf with my father.

Though it was not the best rounds of golf I ever played, it still was quite enjoyable.

It was just the two of us and it happened to take place during the final round of the Masters so the golf course was basically empty.

We went around the course in about 3 hours time, which is about 25% faster then you can normally expect a round of golf to take.

The cost wasn't bad either at $37 a person.

# A little about the match:

After the first 9 holes we were within 1 shot of each other.

On the back 9 though that is when things started to get a little less interesting, at least for me.

After 3 shots in the water and feeling like Sergio Garcia, it was pretty clear that my father was going to run away with it.

In my defense he also plays about 5 times per week.

I play about 5 times per year.

So there is that...

# More than just golf.

Overall though it was about so much more than the golf. It was fun just getting out there and spending time with family.

A few months from now I won't remember what scores we shot that day but I remember how I felt out there spending quality time with my dad in the warm sunshine.

Get out there and enjoy time with family members, you never know how many more chances you will get.

You are right @africaunited. It is more than golf as it allow you to spend time with your family.
And also you talked about being a less interesting to you why because you have not mastered it. If i heard you well, you said your dad played 5 times a week compared to yours which is 5 times in a year. I hope it is fun and it is always a fun spending time with your family

Spending quality time with our family is so rewarding. At the close of a recent General Conference of our Church, a living  Prophet blessed the Church membership in attendance throughout the world "I bless you with greater harmony and love in your homes and a deeper desire to care for your eternal family relationships."

Great to see more golf content being shared on Steemit. Sounds like you had a great round of golf. It's so nice to play when to course isn't jam packed, makes it so much more enjoyable. Almost golf season where I'm at, looking forward to it!
