It has been quite a hard journey for me on Auric Gold these past two months (I breach on Auric Gold only to lose <50% of my matches and quickly relegated to Midnight Shadow after 3-4 matches. After those unsuccessful stints on Auric Gold, my deck has been through major changes (my goal is to find a deck where it can win 50% of the matches). Last Sunday, I again breached into Auric Gold using my recently revamped Nature deck but I only had three matches left when I reached Auric Gold (I won 1 and lost 2 which was enough not to quickly be relegated again to Midnight Shadow). I call it a day and set my mindset about the next daily play & earn (Monday).</div><br>

Then Monday comes, this is the moment that I have been waiting for to test my newly revamped Nature deck if it can win 50% or >50% of matches in the daily play & earn. I started with 0-1, then 1-1, then 1-2, then 2-2, then 2-3, then 2-4. After six matches I am prepared to be relegated again, I took a break, then continue to play, and to my surprise, I won 4-straight making my first-ever winning record on Auric Gold at 6-4. My previous records on Auric Gold are always <50%

# A quite Different Archetype?

In Auric Gold I noticed that deck archetypes are somewhat different from the usual decks that I get to encounter between Twilight Shadow and Midnight Shadow (deck archetypes on Twilight Shadow and Midnight Shadow are quite the same as far as I can tell).

# Can I Win another >50% today? It remains to be seen

Today is Tuesday, and while I am writing this blog I haven't been playing my daily play & earn. I cannot play until 6:00 PM today because there is a scheduled power interruption here in our area from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. It is already 8:20 AM while I am writing this blog.

Without further ado here are the matches on this edition of daily play & earn...

# Victory #1 - versus Midrange War

<div class="text-justify">
Just like my other daily play & earn I again started 0-1, my first victory came on the second match against a midrange war deck. War decks are strong so I am also expecting this match to be already a loss but luckily I came out on top. My starting hand on this match is consisting of Canopy Barrage, Bladefly, and Black Jaguar, then I drew Lightning Strike on my first turn. That starting hand is quite good so I play carefree and ready to lose. My opponent opened with a Trial Spirit, and I responded with Black Jaguar, I manages to clear the board of my opponent using Canopy Barrage while keeping Black Jaguar on the board. On the third turn, I again cleared my opponent's board and Black Jaguar is still alive. Then I drew Wildfire on my fourth turn, at this time Black Jaguar is still alive. On my fourth turn, Black Jaguar is finally gone but luckily I got Bladefly to play to which my opponent destroyed two and one is left. On my fifth turn, I got one card on the board while my opponent has none. on six mana I got three creatures on my board while my opponent has none thus giving me little control of the board. Still, at six mana I was able to build a wall of five cards on my board while my opponent has none which my opponent almost wiped out using Carnage Sweep on the next turn. Then on my next turn, I played Falling Star just to toughen my control of the board, my opponent responded with Guild Enforcer, luckily I got The Hunt on my hand helping to hear the board on my way to my first victory.

# Victory #2 - versus Control Nature

I failed to record the first turn of this match. On my second I got Wild Hog and Confused Badger. On the fourth turn, I played revivification, and my opponent responded by using god power and Faeflame Blade. On 5.5 mana I played Vicious Manticore reducing my opponent's god HP to 10. At six mana I got two creatures on the board (one is Warrior of Paradise) which my opponent wiped out using The Hund, then on the next turn I played Black Jaguar and summoned Confused Badger, it is a good thing that I drew Bladefly on my next turn so I played it immediately to which my opponent does not have a card to respond which gives me my second victory.

# Victory #3 - versus Midrange Magic

Magic decks are strong against this deck of mine so I am always very careful not to play all my cards on the fifth turn and beyond because it is the time when Magic users can use Shaped Blast and Unbound Flames. My starting hand on this match is consisting of Black Jaguar, Pyreshell Beetle, ad Revivificaiton, I drew Vanguard Axewoman on my first turn. In the first turn, I cleared my opponent's board using Axewoman and I played Pyreshell Beetle. On my second turn, I was able to keep the black jaguar and pyreshell beetle on the board. On my third, I go aggressive by playing Revivification while the match is still at four mana. At the end of my fourth turn, I got four cards on my board, and on my fifth turn I gambled by buffing my creatures using Wildfire hoping that my opponent still has no Shaped Blast of Unboud Flames on hand, my gamble paid off, my opponent still does not have Shpaed Blast of Unbouned Flames further reducing my opponent's god HP to 14 at 5.5 mana my opponent finally drew plated Shaped Blast and in 6 mana my opponent played the second Shaped Blast but I was able to keep three creatures on my boards afterward. At six mana I got four cards on the board while my opponent has none on my way to my third victory.
