**Lemang** is a traditional food that made of glutinous rice, coconut milk,banana leaves,salt and roast  using a bamboo stick.
Lemang are commonly known in South East Asian countries and it can take up to four hours to make and requires constant attention, which is why many only choose to prepare it during festival month.

**This is the ingredients for 1 stick of bamboo.Young bamboo is highly recommended**.
**500 grams of glutinous rice  
4 small cup of coconut milk
1 stick of bamboo
2-3 banana leaves
Pinch of salt**

**How to make**

**1**)Put the banana leaves inside the bamboo stick in order to prevent rice sticking to the bamboo.
**2**)Wash and drain the glutinous rice.
**3**)Add a pinch of salt and coconut milk with the glutinous rice.
**4**)Pour the mixture into the bamboo.
**5**)Roast the whole bamboo next to an open fire or on a grill, turning it every 15 minutes, for 3 hours to make sure it cook evenly and
make sure the lemang don't catch on fire.
**6**)After 3 or 4 hour lemang is ready to served. Accompany with chicken or beef gravy will be much tastier..
