*Another story I created for all of you. I hope you enjoy reading it.....*

*"Ahh Yes!!!! tomorrow Thanks it's Friday!!! Time to relax from a very hectic week! " Morgan said to Roger…*

*The two bachelors who are best of friends were working as Engineers in* ***Seafest International***,  *a prestigious company in the heart of* ***Coolwind City***, *Morgan has the habit of going into the clubs and live bands but in fairness, he also has a cool and decent personality, unlike Roger who was a serious type of guy, he always wanted to spend his time working overtime, work..work..work and work and at home, where he only wanted to stay! Once Morgan asked him why he seemed to be so aloof and irritable. He replied "Until I find the answers. I will never be at peace…!"* 

*Morgan asked and was so confused.."At peace? What is it that bothers you?!"..and when Morgan starts to ask so many questions, Roger will just leave him wondering..hanging in the air.* 

*He is a boring type of guy in a way..who doesn't know how to spend time to smile or to accept jokes at times..that sometimes he became so sarcastic and mean in dealing with others,*

*"Hey, Dude! let's go bar-hopping tomorrow!!! Let's have fun to the max. Hahahhaha!" Morgan was teasing Roger for he knew that he would never accept his invitation.*

*"Stop that man!" I have a project plan that I need to finish tomorrow!" Roger said.*

*"Okay! Okay! Let's just have a good dinner in that famous  Resto Bar nearby! Ooooppps! Don't ever say no..!.." Morgan said seriously.*

*"Well, then..call!! We are going there tomorrow then after that I need to go back here to the office to finish the job". Roger uttered*

*"Yes!!!" Morgan said with a hideous smile.*
*"I am going to the bookstore you wanna join?" Ask Roger.*

*"I am not in a mood..go ahead!" Morgan said.*

*"You are not in the mood???? Are you sick? Fever or?..it is unusual Morgan..see yah!"*

***SEA VIEW STREET.***

*In Seaview Street there was a famous cafeteria, where Lydia loves to spend her free time..she was the type of woman who loves music and going to beautiful places and museums...she goes to the gym on Sunday mornings and spent the afternoons at the church..she has a  happy nature and loves serenity even if she was the heiress of a multimillionaire business tycoon!* 

*Lydia Montelibano has everything she needs in life but not all she wanted was in her hand..like a happy family..because her parents were always spending their time out of the country.*

*"A Mocha Coffee and Muffins for me table 11 please..gonna go to the powder room first!"*


*Roger was finding a vacant parking area when the Cafeteria caught his attention. He looked at his watch and decided to have some snacks first before going to the bookstore.*

*After parking his car, He entered the Cafeteria, and went to the counter "Miss, One Cappuccino and a buttered toast! Table 10" Roger ordered..and went to his table*

*Lydia went to the counter as she left the Powder room.."Hey there..is my order ready? Gonna bring it myself to the table!" Smiling sweetly at the girl staff at the counter.."Okay, Ma'am! Here!" After she paid the bill, she got the tray and went to her table..but upon approaching her table, A kid was playfully run wild around and bumped into Lydia that caused her to lose her balance, her handkerchief fell on the paper bag, and stepped on the foot of the guy so hard..*

***"Please watch your step next time, Miss!"*** *Roger said calmly and took away his gaze from Lydia..*

***"I am sorry it was an accident..the kids were playing around and got me off my balance"*** *Lydia replied to him...but Roger didn't even look at a second glance again but exhaled a deep breath.*

*Lydia got irritated "The nerve of that man, ill-mannered. How come he acted as if he was the owner of the place!" Told herself.*

*Roger finished his snacks, stood up, glanced a bit with Lydia, and left..while walking he couldn't stop himself from having a naughty smile.*

*Evening came, Roger checks out the book he bought in the paper bag..there is a white handkerchief..and there was a letter "L" embroidered on it..he recalled what had happened..and he smiled as he realized who was the owner of that Hanky...He tried to remember the beautiful appearance of the owner of that handkerchief..when his cell phone beeped from a text message and that was Morgan's* 

>***Text Conversation:***

>*Morgan: Dude..will see you tomorrow at the Resto Bar, 7 PM at this address. I already reserved a spot there, Table 5. RSVP*

>*Roger: Why the change of venue?*

>*Morgan: I found that place a perfect one with good background and romantic ambiance Hahahahah!🤣😂*

>*Roger: You are a madman Morgan Soria! See yah!!😠*
>*Morgan: Hahaha an honor Dude!🤣*

***FRIDAY NIGHT AT THE HILLSIDE RESTO BAR.***

*Roger entered the place, the Resto bar had a very romantic ambiance, and the music was mellow and an instrumental love song was playing in the background. He checked the address once again, and he was at the right place..the staff welcomed him and asked if there was a reservation..he said table 5.*

*After a few moments and Roger has settled into the table..a very romantic table with candlelight! He was beginning to doubt when he was about to call Morgan, he got surprised by someone in front of him and after a minute replaced it with an irritating thought..that Morgan tricked him…*

*"Wait..wait...you were the guy in the cafeteria with a sour face!!" Lydia said..trying to control her voice..so she was talking with a sweet voice.*

*"What are you doing here on my table?" Roger asked*

*"Excuse me, but this is my reserved table..see this reservation stamp, my friend reserved this for us and I am waiting for him here..so please find your proper place!"*

*Rogers's face turned red "Who is your friend?" But before Lydia opened her mouth to speak..the first band announced that the program was about to begin.*

*Lydia occupied the chair in front of Roger..she was wearing a white dress and a very simple yet elegant one..she was very attractive and gorgeous but at the peak of anger with the guy in front of her.*

*Roger just wears a casual collared shirt and leather jeans..because he thought he would be spending time with Morgan in a usual Resto Bar and not in this kind of romantic place..in short, his attire was out of place..and he is literally out of place.*

*The night passed without even speaking to each other, both were secretly annoyed with the missing Mwhose whose phone has been off* 

*After some time, Lydia stood up and Roger said "Hey where do you think you are going?"* 

*"Are you talking to me??" Lydia sarcastically replied, "It's none of your business wherever I go"*

*Lydia went to that place with her car but because she was expecting Morgan to be there, she instructed her driver to go back home, that was why she needed to call her driver or just wait for a taxi cab.*

*She left Roger at the table, and went outside..and Roger settled the bill even if they didn't eat anything and the waiter told him "Sir,  Miss Montelibano left her membership card here.." Give it to me, I will give it to her"  Roger kept the card in his pocket.*

*He got his car at the parking area..and not so far from the area, he saw a girl wearing a white lady dress walking along the road.*

*He stopped and said, "You know, I heard some stories of a woman being abducted here.."* 

*Lydia stopped and said "Really? Why? Are you the mastermind of the abduction?"*

*"I wouldn't mind if you will ride in here but please behave yourself for I don't want a liberated girl inside my car, okay?" Roger said trying to make Lydia got annoyed*

*"Please come again?? Did I hear it right? Who told you that I am a liberated girl? and I am not interested in an arrogant man like you even a bit so stop that fantasy"*

*"I didn't say you are liberated, All I said was Don't be" Are you coming in or I will leave you here? My time is very precious, take it or leave it" Roger said*

*Lydia tried to open the car door at the back but it was locked.*

*"Sit here in front of the car so I am aware of what you are doing" Roger continues to get Lydia annoyed.*

*Where will I drop you? Roger asked...
"Ohh anywhere away from you..the nerve..(she murmured). Just dropped me in front of the cafeteria and my driver is waiting there.." Lydia replied*

*And after a  few minutes, they reached the place and Lydia transferred to her car  then Roger drove off to his flat*

*As he was about to sleep he remembered the girl and did not even know her name except with its surname.."The membership Card.." He got it in his pocket and checked the details..it has the address and the phone number too. Lydia Montelibano..and he tried to recall something because the surname was very much familiar to him, he hated that surname to the bone..with that thought he fell asleep.*

*He was awakened by a phone call from Morgan.*

>***Phone Call Conversation***

>*Morgan: Hey what is up? 
Roger: You tricked me
Morgan: Hahahhaha..how was the night?
Roger: It was a nightmare
Morgan: Sorry dude but... I only wanted you to meet Lydia, she is a nice girl and...
Roger: But you should ask me first.
Morgan: Well. I need your help
Roger: help? for what?
Morgan: I need to carry some good stone Mom's place
Roger: Okay
Morgan: Gonna pick you up after an hour*>

*Roger prepared and waited for Morgan, less than an hour, and his best friend was there.*

*They reached Morgan's place, a casual  2 story house near the lake, and they smelled something delicious from the kitchen.*

*And to Roger's surprise,  there were some other people there, Morgan's friends.."Snack is...You???" She uttered in surprise upon seeing Roger*

*Both Roger and Lydia looked at Morgan who was controlling his laugh and the others were all unaware of what was happening with the 3 of them*

*"Guys. I want you to meet Roger.. Lydia's boyfriend" Morgan said.." Roger, you better go to the kitchen and have your late breakfast first, for it is already brunch. Lydia?" He added*

*Morgan did it so nobody will bother to disturb Roger and Lydia in any way.*

*"We will talk later, you need to explain this madness," he said with a very annoyed and controlled voice.*

***AT THE KITCHEN…***

*" Help yourself," Lydia Let's"Let's have a truce..so we could understand things here"..she added*

*"We were in Morgans's crazy trap, please do not celebrate I am not into his plans," Roger said*

*"What have you just said? Who is celebrating?.. Me?? Conceited Wake-up!!!.. Lydia replied sarcastically*

*" Or maybe you are teasing me that much because it is you who is very much in love with me...oh well..well..well..you got to love me at first sight..tsk tsk tsk.." Lydia mockingly replied*

*"Hahaha! Please be careful Miss..you are putting your thoughts and aspirations into words.." Roger said with a big laugh*

*Lydia's face became red from anger...and when she was about to leave Roger and walk 
out...Roger stopped her*

*"Wait! Just kidding...I just trying to calm the mood here" he added*

*"You are calming the mood??" You are impossible!" Lydia replied with a sigh*

*Lydia got back into her seat.*

*"So you are Morgan's friend or?" Roger asked* 

 *"Yes, he is my college friend! And you?" Lydia replied*

*"I am his friend and an officemate!"... Roger said.*

*That day  was the beginning of their conversation and friendship..*

*Roger saw the good qualities and character of Lydia...and same with Lydia to Roger.. from that day they became close to each other till the night of Lydia's father's Birthday Grand celebration.*

*Roger and Morgan arrived at the party..upon approaching the main entrance...Roger stopped and said, "Man, I forgot my cell phone in the car.."*
*"Gonna wait for you inside!" Morgan replied*

*The place was full of elite people..families, and friends the rich friends of Lydia's father.*

*"Hi, Morgan! Where is Roger?" Lydia asked*
*"He forget his cell phone inside the car!" Morgan replied*

*As Roger entered the gate..he saw a person that he will never forget..the person he despised the most..he felt like he will explode any moment..his fist was closed so tight..to control the anger inside him he will never allow himself to ruin the event of Lydia's father...He just decided to leave the party...when he was about to go out...*

*"Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen, let me give you the honor to meet the best of the best..the man of the night.." Mr. Rafael Montelibano"* 

*Roger almost lost his senses when he knew that the man he was cursing was no other than Lydia's father..he thought it was only one of the visitors there..*

*He fastly got inside his car and drove as fast as he could..and when he reached a vacant place..he stopped, got out of his car and punched the front side of his car..and shouted out full of sorrow "Murderer!!!"*

***He will never forget that night…12 years ago.***

>*He went to his father's workplace. He planned to surprise him, that time he was in 10th grade..he wanted to show his new plaque of recognition for being the most valuable player of their basketball team.*

>*But as he opened the door he saw his father against the wall, and after few seconds the eyes and mouth got widely opened, hand on its left chest and collapsed on the floor..unconscious..that man was so shocked  Roger went fast to his father side but it wasn't responding, after a few minutes, some of the office mates went there to help Roger carry his father to the hospital but he was dead just before they reached the hospital…*

>*That man went to their home, after his father's burial, he tried to explain everything but Roger left and ignored the man and let her mtalktalked with him*

*Roger felt bad about his mother didn't file a complaint against the man..he always heard his father was so angry with his boss, that boss was the CEO of the furniture company where his father worked and almost all kinds of bad words have been uttered by his father against that man that in Roger's mind was its murderer, "rich people are evil" he said, they used their influence to oppress the commoners*

*Roger promised himself that someday he will give justice for what had happened to his father…*

*With that thought, he got inside his car.*

*He decided that he will stop his friendship with Lydia, he needs to stop the feelings that started to grow in his heart.*

*He will never be a part in any way of that murderer's family he needed to sacrifice whatever feelings he has for Lydia but he will use this event to confront the evil man, Roger said to himself* 

*He drove back to the party, and appeared to be relaxed.."Roger, I have been looking for you dude, where the hell have you been?"*

*"I just bought something, where is Lydia?"*

*"There she is..near the fountain area!" Morgan said 
"Okay, I will go to her". Roger said*

*But before he reaches Lydia's place, he saw that man went inside the house alone.*

*Mr.M Montalbano was the owner of the Montelibano Furniture Company, he was also a philanthropist and a very kind father to Lydia.*

*He went to his bedroom and closed his eyes while leaning his back on his chair..as he opened his eyes he was so shocked to see Roger in front of him.*

*" Who are you?" Mr.Montelibano asked*
*"How is the murderer of innocent people?" Roger replied*

*The old man smiled a bit..and said "You are Brandon,'s son, aren't you? I am very grateful that you come here tonight, this is going to be my most precious brand day, and the gift of peace of mind will be the best gift I wantreceiveceived today, after the 12 tormenting years of my life...after the death of your father"*

*Roger got confused and said, " What peace of mind are you talking about?"*

*Mr. Montelibano got something from his bookcase..an envelope "Please have a seat and read this!.. I will check on  you, I need to go out for a while, I wish we will both be h peace after you read that key to everything!" With that word..he went out of the room* 

*Roger started to check what was inside the envelope..and every piece of document, pictures he had seen, made him want to explode and disappear so that nobody could ever see him again…*

*"This couldn't be true..no..this couldn't be happening..!" He couldn't believe the truth he had witnessed in that blue envelope.*

*He learned that his father has been drowned in dept of big amount of money to Mr.Montelibano because he got added in gambling, he saw the title of their House and Lot together with the pawn contract..and the most important thing that he has seen there was the letter of her mother to Mr.Montelibano*

>**March 08, 2009,**

>**Mr.Montelibano,** 

>**I am, Mrs. Josephine Arevalo, Brandon Arevalo's wife, Good morning!**

>**I left this letter here in your office because you were at the meeting when I reached here this morning.**

>**I wanted to apologize for the dishonorable acts and misbehavior of my husband, I know the damaging things he did here in your company**

>**I am here to humbly request for an extension of our pawn contract for our property..my children are all studying and we have no other place to live aside from our house.**

>**I am hoping for your kind consideration.**

>**Respectfully yours,** 

>**Mrs.J. Arevalo**


*"Did you read and saw all my solid explanations? No need for me to say more..aside from the day you saw your father in my office..he attacked me first, he was forcing me to lend him more money and as I rejected his request he tried to hit me so I pushed him hard, and you know well that the cause of his death was a heart attack. I am innocent..yet I got so disturbed your mother told me you were blaming me for what had happened to your father.." Mr.Montelibano stated*

*Roger was so shocked and felt so small and left Mr.Montelibano, went to his car..sent a text message to Lydia:*

>**We are trapped in the middle of unwanted circumstances, you can ask your father. I need to be alone to find my peace. Till then.**>

*Roger resigned from his work and went to the far City...and started a new life with a new job.*

##### ***A YEAR LATER...***

*Roger was driving back home from work, and around 7 PM he felt so hungry..so he decided to drop by a Cafeteria to have his dinner. As he opened the door to enter the place, a girl who was searching for something in her bag was also walking out of the cafeteria. As it raised her head it was no other than...the girl in his mind and heart each day for a  year…*
 
>***" Hi! Is it you…??.." the surprised Lydia asked full of excitement***

>***"No other! It's Roger Arevalo at your service Lydia". Roger replied…***
