WIP Progress - Miki

The endless amount of power outages within the past and this week is driving me *nuts,*but I managed to get some stuff done. Fortunately.

Mitsuri's fanart is almost done (it took me, what? A whole year? Haha) hopefully it'll be done before Kimetsu no Yaiba manga ends in three days. Not showing previews because it really isn't much what I need to get done before finishing.

Now, focusin on this... let it be known, I've never been good at portraits that go below the bust-leve. Digitally at least. I don't own a cintiq, not even an Ipad, so it's super awkward drawing that kind of stuff on my small tablet.

Miki's portrait (first version) was something I did on a doodle spur, I wasn't paying too much attention because it was only a concept. The second version was made on purpose, yet I wasn't happy with that one, either. I couldn't come to like her expression and the pose, so I remade everything from scratch and- well, look a this. Way better!

Originally, Miki was supposed to be in her volleyball gear, but (again) I couldn't come up with something I liked, so I went with her regular school uniform instead. I went with something simple to add her personal touch: stylish but not wholly gyaru-ish, if you know what I mean.

Will come to work on this after finishin Mitsuri's fanart, but I'm very happy with how Miki's is turning out.

If it's any consolation I'm no good at portraits at all, my characters always have to be doing something and usually not looking at/interacting with the camera XD

The neck looks a little awkward but I'm not sure whether it's because of the angle or the anime proportions or just the current state of colouring and whatever I'm seeing will go away by itself when you're done.

It's coming along :)

Ergh constant power outages sounds thoroughly exasperating -_- that's been going on for quite a while now hasn't it?

The neck probably seems awkward to you because of the shading and hair in that area. But as it id a layered haircut, it cant be really helped. That said, this character is super tall so her neck, torso and limbs are a little longer than usual, as well :P

We got an energetic crisis from more than ten years now xDu but, like. Over the past week the power goes out about 4 times in the same day, lasting from seconds to 2 hours, to 5 hours each. So far, these lasting 5 hours are more common. Which is less than ideal when in quarentine.
