Failing But Loving It!

Day 2 with Gouache: Opened up some more tube paints to try out a painting of a picture that I took about 2 years ago when it had rained and the skies were just pure magic. I knew I was taking a more complex one than I should have but thought what's the harm, you know. I could tell there were a few techniques that I was unaware of achieving in gouache just by looking at the picture but I decided to go ahead without much thought.

As expected, I did feel a little lost when my palette kept increasing in variety of colors and the paper started to look like a mess. But after adding a few layers I was getting a hang of it especially where thicker consistency was required. Honestly, I think this was a total disaster but a good learning piece. Although, I will stick to keeping it simple for the next time... I think!
