But then I remembered that I had been able to photograph a rainbow a few months ago.
I must have taken it with my iPhone, so I searched for it in my iPhone's photo application.
Then I found this photo.

It was a stormy day, and it had been raining on and off since early morning.
Then the clouds are swept away at a great speed, and suddenly the sun is shining through.
The next moment the clouds would push in again and it would rain again.

先日、晴れているのに小雨が降っていたことがありました。
その時にほんの一瞬だけ虹が見えて、ああ綺麗だなと思った次の瞬間に消えてしまいました。
その時はカメラを構える間もありませんでした。

しかし、その時に「確か数ヶ月前に虹を撮影できたことがあったな」と思い出しました。
iPhoneで撮影したはずなので、iPhoneの写真アプリケーションを探してみました。
そしたらこの写真が見つかりました。

この日は嵐のような天候で、早朝から雨が降ったり止んだりしていました。
そして雲がすごい速度で流されて、突然太陽の光りが差し込んできます。
次の瞬間にはまた雲が押し寄せて、雨が降ってきたりしていました。

会社の最寄駅で電車を降り、歩行者用跨線橋を渡っていたら目の前に大きな虹が現れました。
はじめ、虹の一部分だけが見えていました。
私がショルダーバッグからiPhoneを取り出しているうちに雲が流れていきました。
そして、上の方に大きく伸びていく虹の続きが現れました。

虹というものは本当に不思議です。
もちろん科学的には説明が出来ます。
しかし、こうやって実際に目にすると本当に不思議さを感じます。
どの角度から太陽が当たって、私の見る位置が変わったら見えなくなるのか。
今は西の空に見ている虹だけど、違う方角から観測している人にはどう見えているのかな。
そんなことを想像してしまいます。

跨線橋を下ってしばらく歩いていたら、また変化しました。
雲が強い風に流されて、虹の見える部分が増えたり減ったりするように感じます。

なんだか電信柱も電線も、虹を見つめているかのような気がします。

虹を見ることができるとラッキーな気持ちになります。
様々な気象条件が揃わないと見られないので貴重だと感じます。
虹を見ると希望を与えられた気持ちになる人は多いでしょう。
虹を題材にした歌の歌詞も希望を感じるものが多いです。

これは半年前の写真です。
また虹を見つけて写真に収めたいな、と思います。

■ひとこと日記
自宅のベランダ周辺で野菜を育てたいので、環境を整え中です。
それに合わせて、部屋の片付けや不用品の処分を週末に一気に行いました。
自宅の中を行ったり来たりして、少し買い物に行っただけで1万歩以上歩いていて驚きました。
