Amadeo P. Giannini was the man who brought about branch banking to the world today, several years ago even until the 1900’s, banks were only used by the elite and the affluent men of the society, the poor men did not even have enough to feed talk more of keeping money in the bank, some of the people who had little savings kept their savings in a little corner of their room.

 At that time, so many business owners begged for loans from banks so they could use it to begin their own business but since the bank only offered services to the rich back then, the poor man was ignored by the banks, it was at this point that Amadeo P. Giannini rose to the defence of the small business owners, but Amadeo P. Giannini did not just appear out of nowhere, he also had his root, he had his story, he had his struggle and that was even the reason why he wanted to help small businesses survive and according to them, this will help them get their own share of the wealth of America.


### The story of Amadeo P. Giannini.
Around 1876, Amadeo P. Giannini was the Son to a man who had left his country and moved to America to begin farming, the farming business was going so well that Amadeo P. Giannini, his siblings and his mother were very comfortable but a sad situation changed the entire story. A man was hired to help out with the farm work and there was a little disagreement about the price that should be paid for the work, the worker stormed out of the farm angrily but he returned the following week and shot Amadeo P. Giannini father dead.

San Jose mother was a poor widow who had no friend or family in America and they tasted poverty, he struggled very hard with his mother to feed himself and his siblings until his mother eventually re-married. Amadeo P. Giannini started a sales business with his step father, they sold farm produce alongside different items and as they worked hard at it, the business grew so well that Amadeo P. Giannini and his step father became rich and he retired in his 30’s.

Even after retiring, he wanted to do something as he was just not comfortable with being idle and that was when he heard the pain of the small business owners, being one who had struggled to get to the top himself, he understood their pain. He quickly asked for a few guide on how he can start a bank, and he started the bank of Italy.




### The Bank of Italy.

The first regular bank for the average person started with the bank of Italy, his idea provided the middle classed person access to save money in the bank and even get loans when necessary. This bank became so successful that it started to have more branch and even options to merge. Currently the bank is known as Bank of America (BOA).
