I powered up again on the day first of this month.

# Greetings friends!

This is the day first of this month. Likewise in previous months, I powered up my #hive accounts once again on this day to celebrate #hivepud aka hive power up day. I powered up my account a you can see in the following screenshot.

Now I have about 8064 hive power. This is nice for me. I have a target to increase it over 10000 hp by the end of the year. 

This is also the international day of labourers. Lots of people lost their lives and many suffered tortures and had to sacrifice a lot to get their rights. With the starting of the industrial revolution a very bad time for the labourers also started. They had to work in factories till dawn to night. Sometimes, 16 hours continuously without any break and there was no Sundays and holidays for them. Little children even had to work in factories same as adults. Later things changed when thousands of labourers died demanding their rights and Then they were given rights like fixed working hours, social securities, holidays, good salary, maternity leave for working women, pension after retirement, medical facilities etc. 

These rights are under threat because of changing global economies. In every country such rulers are in power who works for the rich industrialists and corporate. They frame policies which may suit their masters. That's why for the white collar workers, duty hours are not fixed. Hire and fire policies are being adopted in mass scale and social securities being curtailed by the governments. That's why it has become important for the public to protect their rights. Otherwise, it will lead to the repetition of the slavery which had ended to a great extent in the past.
