It is my first post to Ladies of Hive. I was happy to find a topic :)

I start painting my nails this autumn really after a while. For daily basis I wasn't doing it for long, at least 5-6 years. My daughter was small and I have had cooking work.

However I felt like putting colors on my nails last autumn. I don't write about the reasons why I felt so as it might be quite long 😅 After my cooking work, I paint my nails for few days to a week until next cooking work day comes.

Ten years ago, I was working as an artist and I liked to paint my nails with hot pink or bright pink. I tried the color after ten years. I felt it's not my color, at least now. My daughter agreed with me saying "it doesn't fit to you mama". I promised that I gave the color to her. I thought it fits more to her.

I tried some colors and found I liked mustard yellow and khaki. Also I feel comfortable with blue. There is something common among these colors but I cannot describe it well. Calm earthy colors? Is it because I became more down to earth than 10 years ago?

Anyway, I'm happy to find new colors that fit to me for my current age, life stage and life style while I feel a bit sentimental that my favorite hot pink doesn't fit me any more. Or it will fit to me in my 70s 😉

Aging is not always easy but I enjoy this kind of changes in my life.

Ladies of Hiveに初めて投稿します。トピックが見つかってうれしいです。

この秋から、久しぶりにネイルカラーを塗り始めました。子供が小さかったし、料理の仕事もあったしでもう何年も日常的に塗ることはありませんでした。

でも、去年の秋にやりたくなったんですね。その理由はものすごく長くなりそうなので、また改めて😅 ここのところ料理の仕事をした後、次の料理の仕事の日が来るまで数日から1週間くらいネイルを塗っています。

10年前、アーティストとして活動していた時は、ホットピンクのような鮮やかなピンクが好きでよく塗っていました。10年ぶりに塗ってみたら似合わない www 少なくとも今の私には。子供も「かあさんには似合わないな」（ひどい）と同意見でした。子供の方が似合うので、子供にあげることにしました。

めげずに何色か試してみたところ、マスタードイエローやカーキを気に入って、あと、明るめの青もいいかな。これらの色には何か共通するものがあるのですが、うまく表現できません。落ち着いたアースカラー？10年前に比べて地に足がついたから、実際土に近い仕事をするようになったから？

そんなこんなで、大好きだったホットピンクが似合わなくなったことに少し感傷的になりながらも、今の年齢、ライフステージ、ライフスタイルに合う新しい色に出会えたことがうれしいです。ホットピンクはまた70代になったら似合うかな、なんて 😁

年齢を重ねることは時になんだかもやもやもしますが、このような人生の変化も楽しいもので、いい感じに年をとっていけたらいいなと思います。
