 We can walk toward our dreams no matter how old we are. This is what I realize for my stay as an artist in Linz this month. I was wondering I had a too long blank period, 10 years in my artist career and when I applied for the Culture Moves Europe program last year, which financially supports my stay in Linz. My application was accepted. I was wondering I was too old to start my artist career again. I have away less works than others who are in the same generation. People in the art university didn't care it. They make what they are interested in, we respect others' interest and talk about it. That's all. Age doesn't matter. Number of past works doesn't matter. I could gradually get rid of my hesitations. Now I'm really feeling free and enjoy working by following my interest (knitting + programming). I think it was just my thoughts that stopped me. I shouldn't be caught by the wonders and instead I shall say "Everything will be fine. Give it a try!" to myself. I wanted to leave this message here as a post so that it encourages someone who hesitates to take a step to his/her dream like me :) Have a nice weekend! <center>~~~</center> いくつになっても夢に向かって歩いていけると思います。リンツに滞在しながら実感しています。 昨年、リンツでの滞在を資金面でサポートしてくれるCulture Moves Europeというプログラムに応募したとき、アーティストとしてのキャリアに10年というあまりにも長いブランクがあるけど大丈夫かなともやもやしていました。応募は受理されました。 滞在は決まったものの、私はもともと工学の出身で、作品を作り始めたのも遅かったので、同世代の人たちと比べると、作品数が少ないです。長いブランクもある。水曜日に滞在先の美術大学で顔合わせがあって、週の後半は大学で作業をして、まわりの人たちと話して、少しずつ霧が晴れていった感じです。昔どうだったとか、何歳だとかではなくて、今何をしたいのか。私は今のびのびしています。 多分自分であれこれ心配してそれに絡めとられてしまっていたのだと思います。年とは関係なく、やりたいと思ったら何歳になっても始められます。 私のように一歩踏み出すことを躊躇している人の励みになればと思い、投稿としてメッセージを残そうと思いました :) 良い週末を！

凄いですね。現在アーティストインレジデンスってことですか？ 僕も3, 4 年前くらい横浜にあるグリーンルームフェスタでアーティストでもデザイナーになりたい夢を気づきました。 その日から今までほぼ毎日少しずつ絵を描いたり物を作ったり生活になりました。今年の目標はどこがで自分の展示会を開くことです。 頑張ります。😉✨

国外での制作（私の場合は居住地がドイツで、制作地がオーストリア）を支援するEUのプログラムがあって、そのサポートできています。 毎日少しずつ絵を描いたり物を作ったりする生活、すごいです。私は時々サボってしまいます。少し前の「Personal Power Phrase」の眼鏡のイラストと文字の感じすごくよかったです。見かけたら買いたくなってしまう感じで、仕事場に飾りたいと思いました。 目標に向かってお互い頑張りましょう！
